I've been gaming since before I got my NES on Apple II's and an old IBM 8088. Never had an Atari or Odyssey. I got an NES for Christmas in the 80s and have been a gaming nut ever since. I love Nintendo's IPs and because of this I've bought every systemm to date (including VB). In addition to every Nintendo system (-Wii), I've also own a Dreamcast, XBOX, 360, and PS3.

Destructoid crashes Safari/ Spam on the Increase

I use a Mac. It has Safari as it's default browser. Sometimes I use it instead of Firefox. But, lately, something has changed. Every time I go to Dtoid, it crashes Safari. Consistently.

Also, I've noticed that there are a lot more spammers getting through the system lately. Almost all of the most recent Cblogs have got it, and some of the front page comments have it.

Fucking retarded.

Yea it crashes my safari too. I load up Firefox just for dtoid (don't you feel special now)... otherwise I use safari because it's pretty quick and the little activity viewer works wonders for development.

And this is coming from a Mac fanboy. It's rendering engine is just awful.

Sure, but Firefox is getting bloated, Opera doesn't open pages right, IE just blows... They all have their issues. Safari loads quickly, loads pages quickly, and has few issues.

Why Destructoid blows up Safari like it does is beyond me... Seems like it shouldn't be that easy. Lackner must have been drinking.

I love going to click another tab and hearing "HELLO?!" screaming at me. And then I bring the mouse down to figure out what did that and I hear it again, "HELLO?!". If something has ever made me not want a product so much, it is that. Someone failed advertising 101, HARD.

Wow, you have issues with Opera? As a web dev, Opera gives me the least problems. Firefox's memory leaks seem to be fixed, and IE is actually improving.

I hate Safari because of the way it renders certain fonts. But it is fast though.

No one is using Google's Chrome browser? It's fast and and dtoid works until you try to read a c-blog :-/ I'm stuck using IE now.

Yeah, it's the Cblogs that blow up safari too. They're both based on Webkit so maybe it has something to do with that.
