Hey guys, well I thought I'd finally post a blog up, I don't know about what, but I think the death of my beloved 360 is a valid reason to write one up, well unlike some I thought I was one of the lucky ones who never had a single problem with their 360, everything perfectly in sync, no lag, no nothing... Until one morning I wake up wanting to stretch out with some CoD4, and there it was, the red ring of death has knocked upon my door...
So I got it sent and repaired and I got it back working again, *yays* and a few hours of playing I decided to give it a rest and go hang out with my mates, and ha! the next time I switched on my 360 it said it wouldn't read the disc, and I tried different discs, and what'd you know? the dvd drive failed. I feel that I have been ripped off by MS, I mean I would've wanted better compensation for all the hassles I had to go through.
After finally getting the dvd drive fixed at my local computer shop, I've made the decision to say goodbye to my 360 days, and I put up my 360 along with my games collection on eBay. I was sort of relieved that I didn't have to handle with it anymore, but deep inside I'm hurting since I was so god damn excited to play GoW2.
It's sad but recently I've decided to switch sides, and get myself my own black juggernaut, I know that the game collection might not be as good as the 360 but to be honest I feel happy that I'm actually going to get a PS3. In a few hours I'm going to finalize the eBay auction, and get the 360 shipped off and let some other guy feel my pain :P

And don't be upset about the PS3, there are tons of good games to play on it. And when others are playing Gears 2 (GoW is saved for God of War, young man)...you can be playing Resistance 2 and it has EIGHT player co-op. Gears can't touch that.
but question.. is the PS3 online gaming really that bad performance wise compared to XBL ?
As for online gaming...the only difference is maybe less people and chattign online is interesting. Amazing online games like Condemned 2 doesn't support it (unless they fixed it) and UT3 requires a wierd button press to talk.
& the game selection is JUST as good as 360's.
Minus the heart/hardware failure you've experienced already.

BTW if you like Gears... Try Uncharted, it's more cerebral.

The weapons are out of this world unique.
Yea...Gears 2 cant touch 8 player co-op....but Resistance sucks ass. Im not biased but its true. Its a generic shooter with alt fire like Perfect Dark. Ill take Gears 1 over Resistance 10 anyday...One of the best games of this generation.

In all cerealness, The triple is a good system. Are you using the money from Ebay to buy the PS3, or to be done with it. Owning all 3 newgen systems doesn't limit your choices on what to buy. It sure makes the Fall quite painful on the pocket though.

Just an idea.
Resistance is awesome because the health system(in R1) takes skill because it's not regen/shields, more of a combination of health & regen. I can't believe they went the CoD4/Halo 3/Gears 2 route with R2's health system. And the weapons are cool as fuck.
Gears of War was fun, but I can't understand anyone with a knowledge of shooters creaming themselves over it. Same with Halo 3.

haha thanks for the input guys, and yes someone is coming to pick up my 360 today I sold it with extra accessories and etc for AU$400 seemed like a good deal to me.
I'll pick up my PS3 later today :)
