I arrived on Earth when Zeus let me ride a thunder bolt he hurled from Mt. Olympus in 1983. Upon landing, I tossed the thunder bolt back to Olympus with a note reading, "I'm coming back some day to claim my throne, motherfucker." I guess this should probably go in the forums, but what the hell ever, this is easier (plus i'm tired of looking at the same comment that god wants me to write a blog). anyway, I haven't gotten the chance to play GHIII yet, and if Through the Fire and Flames is as hard as it should be, I don't see how it's passable on hard, or even medium for that matter. What's the decision for those of you who have played it? My fingers get tired air guitar-ing to it, so i can't even imagine the pain after attempting it on the game.

I made it to 70% on expert. I made a stupid mistake. The hardest part is the intro.

Luckily it's not part of the regular setlist and is only played during the credits, where you can't fail the song. THEN it becomes part of the setlist as a bonus track. So they don't expect you to really play it.

I'm not very good, so I can only get 3-4 stars on hard. It's quite a difficult song, but also very glorious.

I've only beat it on medium (it's been a while since I played, so I had to drop back a little), but it's still really hard there.

I love the song though.

All it really takes to make it through on expert is busting your ass in the practice mode. To me it's nigh impossible without almost complete memorization, so the practice mode helps quite a bit. It's a rather tricky on hard, and it's almost easy on medium.

I don't think it's that difficult on Hard, i had more trouble finishing some of the last set songs than TTFAF.

I made it to 1% on expert, but having gone through it a couple times in practice, I'd have to agree with TheMartino that the intro is the toughest part.

I played through the first time on medium and passed it with about 70%, then right after I went to expert and tried on expert and got 1% in. The intro, as we've established, is insane, it just looks like a wall of notes crashing down on you.

i can nail 78% on expert but i cant pass the intro....STRANGENESS

also the intro is purely hammer ons so get a rubber band or tape to hold down the green button

To me, Hard actually seems harder than expert for the simple fact that they make you strum so damned much of it. After the intro on expert all you really gotta to is be decent at alt-strumming plus the new hammer-on/pull-off system is way more forgiving so those parts aren't nearly as bad as what was in Jordan.

But yeah...that intro...it's a son of a bitch.

I completed it on Medium, I can't imagine it on Expert.

I have beaten it on Expert after many hours of practice and careful approaches. The intro is pretty damn hard, but it's all in memorization and tempo. GH3 does a much better job of actually putting the notes where the songs actually plays them, so this makes it a lot easier to match it up with the song's tempo (which all of you should know by heart anyways).
The Intro is a total whore, but the first solo is kinda tough as well. Took me 3 tries to nail down the solo, and only barely. Definitely a 3-star here, but at least I beat it. And when I pick up a XBL time card, I'll show you guys :)
