I am an avid FPS/RPG/MMO player (big surprise I know), and I would like to meet a lot more friends for Xbox Live, because where I live, not many people game=p.
Recently, IGN posted an interview on their website with the developers of 5th Cell, creators of games like Drawn to Life and Lock's Quest. The developers revealed their newest DS game in the works, the name of the game? Scribblenauts.
Scribblenauts is a new DS game that is going to revolutionize the DS gaming appeal. The concept of the game is simple, retrieve the starlite, an object in the game which is basically shaped like a star, collecting them unlocks more levels.
Here's the really interesting/innovative part. By writing down an object/command in the bottom of the DS screen, it appears in the game, and can be used to retrieve the starlite. For example, in the gameplay video, there's a starlite in the tree. You can spawn any object imagineable, from a ladder to climb up the tree, to spawning a beaver to eat the tree and knock it over.
Now, I don't about you guys, but a game like this is something I've dreamed about since I was first introduced to gaming. This redefines so much of how much you can expand your imagination and creativity in a game. Now hopefully, this game is as good as it seems, and not just something that sounds incredible on paper. We'll just have to see!
I think this is a great game idea and I'm really looking forward to seeing how it turns out. Its good to see people are still trying new things with the DS and I can't wait to see what they are working on next given their track record I'm sure it will be something amazing.
Seriously though, this is actually nice, and probably one of best things that I could give to little kids to leave me alone. Seriously, this game is easy enough to learn for anyone to use.
And then, there's me. What happens If I use a Beaver and a Ladder, AND a football? Possibilities. I'm keeping an eye on this.
Also, I need to check out Drawn to Life.
amazing wow I need this game I cant believe beaver was an option. Maybe try catapult giant rubber band or slingshot or eagle maybe lumberjack or jetpack

Might be a fun little game though.
