Borderlands. What's That?

According to Wikipedia:

"Borderlands is an upcoming science fiction first-person shooter with RPG elements that is currently in development by Gearbox Software for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game was revealed in the September 2007 issue of Game Informer magazine. The game is the first in a planned franchise. The game has a planned 2009 release date."

I am really looking forward to this game. But here's the problem: the game was announced in September of 2007, as said in the article. Since then, has anyone even heard of any screenshots/information/or gameplay videos released? I didn't think so.

I mean, I know some companies keep there games under wraps, but man, this is almost ridiculous! Even most games get information trickled out little by little.

With over 600,000 weapons in the game, and plenty of vehicles to drive around the enormous wasteland, I can't wait for this game to come out! But, when am I going to see some good dirt on it?

Have faith, it seems like Alan Wake didn't slip through the cracks, and it went silent for almost 2 years. Gearbox is pretty good about shipping out their titles... eventually.

No, this is still happening. I heard about it still being on someone's fiscal plan recently. And besides, this is going to be a huge game, they need to take their time.

I agree, and Im not saying push it, I'm saying I'd like more information, and maybe even some concept art from it.

There's a trailer out and there's some cam footage of a walkthrough on Game Trailers. There's been a bit of coverage in the UK Pc Gamer magazine which is where I heard about it. The persistant co-op aspect is really appealing to me.

i'm really excited for this game as well. I'm sort of afraid that it's gonna turn into a FarCry 2 type game where it pretty much drops you into the world and says, "good luck!" that just doesn't work for me. But maybe this'll be different.
