So my good friend at
Ubisoft got me a nice VIP ticket to
FUSE a 'fusion' of gaming and music. It was very last minute I attended so not only did a take some very bad pictures of the event I got plenty of video which I will put up maybe tomorrow or when I have another day off.
After getting my VIP/PRESS ticket which was strapped onto a rather awesome
Jägermeister neck thing haha. The
Workmeng would of loved all the free Jägermeister that was on offer. Anyway, I walked into the event. Very dark in there and lots of Goth/Emo people were running around the floor below boo-ing at the rainbow six tournament which was a shame.
Xleague.tv were filming and I got a glimpse of the British
Frag dolls running around as well.
Generally the rainbow six event could of got better attention if they separated the music and the gaming. Most people there wanted the music. People brought tickets to see
Dir En Grey (Japanese scream, hardcore) and that was it. So much of the event its self was overshadowed by delirious fans screaming for Dir En Gray hours before the band were to play.
So I snuck away from the main event into the bar to check out these 'supposed' demo units and
Assassins Creed was sat there with 2 gentlemen taking up the machines and merry banter. I walked up and started filming the game play and asking the gents how they felt so far about the game. Not only did they give me some good insight they also moved aside and let me play which was nice of them. One of them attempting to give me a rough description of the game controls after I got a general idea the PR crept over and kept grabbing my controller telling me to do this and that. Which was nice but I'd rather he'd tell me from afar instead of running in while I was getting hit. However people were impressed with the quick control I gained to the game and then I had the PR flash a copy of COD4 out of his pocket (
the bastard) and then I just wanted to kill enemies more vigorously in attempt to get over my jealously (which people noticed). Ahh Assassins Creed, I do the wants.
I also ran into some Warfighter men, who were walking around with their 'guns' and generally keeping some gaming visuals at the event. I got some photo's with them. They were really nice and hopefully for my birthday I will be running around shooting guns and pretending I am in RL rainbow six. Going to be so cool. The guys tried to do a stunt at the show by grabbing someone and basically pretending to have a terrorist on the stage with a victim and the snipers were going to shoot the terrorist and shoot a small 'stunt' crowd who had blood packets on them and it was going to be cool. But sadly it just ended with the terrorist getting shot and end of. Shame really.
Apart from that the event was so-so. I'm glad I got in for free and that I got to play AC as well as check out some great Rainbow Six players. Dir En Gray were disappointing live for those who want to know. I'll have video's up later on but yeah.. disappointingly fail.
Just want to thank
Kazz at Ubisoft for hitting me up and Colin from
DDRUK.com for getting me there! I love you guys! Also: My birthday we are totally doing real live Rainbow Six. I wanna shoot shit D:<
Also, zero
I wouldn't go anywhere to just see them though.
Yep, tell me about it, I was half contemplating snatching it out of his hand, hehe.
Waiting for Rock Direct to post the photos of me on their forum. Got some pics of the all black camo SWAT/Rainbow 6 men.
