Some random person, DryvBy, sent me this message the other day. I couldn't stop laughing over it mainly since I own a PS3 also and all that "free" stuff doesn't help too much.

how does the psn suck compared to xbox live?

xbox live, $6 a month
psn is free

xbox live supports around 14/16 players per game
psn can support up to 64

xbox live makes you pay for their service, and STILL brings you ads on your dashboard
psn is free

xbox live is supported by the internet and 12 year old whinning kids
psn is for gamers (the real ones) and is free

or is that just fanboyism at it's finest?

He has a point once you cut through all the crap.

Imho, if you take the cost into account, PSN is better. However, you can't play Halo over PSN. See what i did thar?
Not only is his blatant fanboyism apparent, but his information is incorrect.

Xbox Live is $7.99/month, not $6. And it can be paid for yearly or quarterly.

The player support is not determined by the service itself, but by the developers. There are Xbox Live titles out there that support more than 16 players, and there have been since the days of the first Xbox.

What the hell does that even mean?
@jj RAGE

Xbox live is actually 4 bucks a month if you pay for the year ($50/12=$4.16). And if you buy the retail card you get a 13th month for free making it $3.84.
Yeah I remember that post now. I guess I said something there to piss him off. Maybe I should make a post on how great Friend Codes are...
I paid $32 on ebay for 13 months. Literally pocket change.
@ArrestedDeveloper

Yes but Microsoft offers a monthly payment option that is $7.99/month
XBL is $9 a month at the cheapest in Australia.

That is all.
DryvBy is fail. You should read his latest blog. He fails at life.

What the fuck does that even mean? If by supported he means, I don't know, run through the internet doesn't PSN work the same way? And I find it highly unlikely that there aren't any 12 year old douchebags on PSN. Wherever there is an online FPS, whiny 12 year olds will be there. At least that's what I have come to expect.

And who cares if XBL costs money? Frankly I don't mind paying for it. PSN being free is a novel idea and I wish microsoft will take the hint to do the same thing (although it will never happen because they are douchebags) , but I'm perfectly fine spending 50 bucks a year.
The 12 tear old douchebags are there, but the good thing is none of them own headsets. You only have to deal with the asshats that like to sing during Warhawk.
10 million people pay for World of Warcraft and they aren't complaining.
