Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Imho, if you take the cost into account, PSN is better. However, you can't play Halo over PSN. See what i did thar?
Xbox Live is $7.99/month, not $6. And it can be paid for yearly or quarterly.
The player support is not determined by the service itself, but by the developers. There are Xbox Live titles out there that support more than 16 players, and there have been since the days of the first Xbox.
"xbox live is supported by the internet and 12 year old whinning kids"
What the hell does that even mean?
Xbox live is actually 4 bucks a month if you pay for the year ($50/12=$4.16). And if you buy the retail card you get a 13th month for free making it $3.84.
Yes but Microsoft offers a monthly payment option that is $7.99/month
That is all.
What the fuck does that even mean? If by supported he means, I don't know, run through the internet doesn't PSN work the same way? And I find it highly unlikely that there aren't any 12 year old douchebags on PSN. Wherever there is an online FPS, whiny 12 year olds will be there. At least that's what I have come to expect.
And who cares if XBL costs money? Frankly I don't mind paying for it. PSN being free is a novel idea and I wish microsoft will take the hint to do the same thing (although it will never happen because they are douchebags) , but I'm perfectly fine spending 50 bucks a year.
