10.I hope to become a successful filmmaker one day.
Films are my life, and I hope when I get older I can contribute to the art of film making in a major way. I own over 200 dvds and I try to watch at least one movie a day. Reservoir Dogs is my favorite film of all time.
9. My life revolves around the TV show LOST.
No, seriously. Ever since I watched the pilot 5 years ago, I knew that what I was watching was the beginning of the greatest television show to have ever existed. I contribute to a variety of LOST fansites, collaborating with other users to create in depth recaps, theories, screencaps, work to find SPOILARZZ and a ton of other stuff. I own posters, t-shirts, mugs, board games, necklaces, trading cards, and action figures for LOST, fuck, I even have the
original first draft script of my favorite episode personally signed by the entire cast. I've even fucking seen the next 3 episodes of the show that HAVEN'T EVEN AIRED YET.commence laughing. Also, LOST: Via Domus(the game) was a giant piece of shit, and I loved every minute of it.
8. I am an only child.
I have been an only child all my life, and sometimes I wish I wasn't. It saddens me when I think of the cool things I could have experienced during my life with a brother or a sister, that I never could. Then I think of all the horrible things a brother or a sister could have done to my video game systems and I am happy I don't have one.
7.I eat around 6 White Castle cheeseburgers a day.
And not the good, yummy kind you get at an actual White Castle, I'm talkin the shitty, microwaveable ones you get at your local supermarket. No joke, I don't think i've NOT eaten at least a box a day for around 6 months. I am probably going to die soon.
6. It saddens me that splitscreen gaming is dying, but I really don't care.
Some of my fondest gaming memories have been through the power of Xbox LIVE, and I can count my memorable spiltscreen experiences on one hand. Sorry, but this is the year 2009.
5. Video games did not become an addiction for me until the Xbox 360.
Sad, right? The first system I ever owned was a sega genesis, and for a long period of time my system of choice was the PS2. I knew nothing of the internet, and purely judged my purchases by "hey this looks good, I'll buy it." It all started when I heard of a game called Dead Rising, and me, the zombicidal maniac that I am, said "SHIT I NEED A 360." Enter XBOX Live and suddenly I am gaming every day for hours. It wasn't too long before I entered the world of Destructoid and started becoming a part of the video game world and really wanting to know my stuff, so to speak.
4.I volunteer at my local homeless shelter, and whenever I see someone less fortunate than me, I feel awful.
I don't really understand why some things happen to some people, but I do believe everything happens for a reason. I am so grateful for what I have and how my life has turned out.
3. I don't understand why people trade in games.
I mean, why spend 60 dollars on a game and then give it back to get 20? Can't you just save up a little longer and know you can have an ever growing collection of games? Am I wrong? AM I WRONG?
2.I have an uncontrollable phobia of the ocean, and pools.
Maybe it's because the inner zombie in me knows zombies aren't supposed to swim, I don't know. But I do know that the thought of being dropped in the ocean or a deep pool scares the ever loving shit out of me, more than anything in the world. You know that movie "Open Water", where those two people are alone, just floating the ocean? That is the scariest movie I have ever seen in my life.
1.My name is Timothy Butler, and I love zombies.
Zombutler. :)
Word about the ocean. Fuck large expanses of water.
