Hey :] Call me Zippy :]

I have been told I'm an odd fellow, which is nice :) Loving Dtoid, been here for nearly a year now and I'm so glad I found a real community :D I feel more welcomed here than I have anywhere else.

I love all games new and old hence why I still have and play on my Spectrum, SNES, N64, PS1,2, Gameboy and more. I also have the rest of the N64/SNES games that I don't have in Physical form in Emulation form. I play PC a lot too. Check out Mame32 for a lot of classic very old arcade games.

On PC I mainly play TF2, GTA and L4D1/2. On PS3 I mainly play Killzone 2, Street Fighter 4, Mirrors Edge, Little Big Planet and a load more. Plus a lot of mini games, I play those a lot too.

I've currently just finished studying a BTEC in Game, Art and Media Design and now enjoying my holiday.

I do believe it hasn't been announced yet. Well if HMV is to be trusted, that date will be the 26th of March, 2010. They could just have out that up there as a guess and not got word from Konami, but it's worth speculating if it really is in March, clashing with Final Fantasy XIII and a load of other games.

I noticed this when looking for PSN cards as supposedly they have been released in the UK since September. News to me, can't find them anywhere.

I'll take this with a grain of salt. since we haven't heard anything about the game since E3. but. I just really want to play this.

Meh, I'm more interested in Peace Walker after having played that demo. Also because Big Boss > Raiden

I can't see how that could be accurate, I have my doubts if it will even make 2010. I mean how long did it take Kojima Productions to make MGS4 and now they can turn around and make the next game in less than a year?

Nah there's no way it'll come out before peace walker because that has had a lot more press behind it and they'd want to market that game fully before promoting another metal gear game. To be honest I recon it'll come out early 2011.

@Xhumation, yeah course man :] I doubt HMV of all stores would get the low down on a release date, nevermind this close, but I'm just throwing it out there :)

They would be nuts to release it in the same month as FF13 and also like a week before God of War 3, which would hurt their PS3 sales even more.

Of course, I'm not sure how many people are interested in all 3 of these games, so perhaps it wouldn't really matter.

I dunno. Probably a place-holder date of some kind, although I do not think this game is going to take as long as a standard MGS title takes to create.

It is a multiplatform title. And this date is more than likely inaccurate. There is no way that Konami is going to release a new console Metal Gear with only 4 months of hype behind it.

Yeah there's no way. They said at E3 that the game would be all new game mechanics and a brand new engine. If they were just recycling everything from MGS4 that'd be another story.
