Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising
Zippyduda | 2:21 PM on 10.03.2009 8 comments

Wow. Long absence is long. Hey Destructoid, thought I'd give you all a heads up that you can get Operation Flashpoint [2]: Dragon Rising for a ridiculously cheap price from Amazon for PC.

I almost wrote Operation Flashpoint [2]: Dead Rising as I just watched that epic video of Nick playing it set to an American song :]

Anyway, the deal. It's £17.99 ($28) for PC from Amazon from the UK store. Unfortunately I just checked Amazon.com and it's $38 there. But it's still knocked down from it's original price on both sites.

Hopefully I'll find something to write about as I miss thinking up blogs and replying to everyone's comments. I think this might be the first ever Monthly Musing I enter as well, fingers crossed. Sorry I wasn't at the PS3 FNF last night, I'm finding it harder and harder to stay up late after a week of college.

Till next time folks :)

Edit: I can't believe I actually did write it wrong first time :)

I'm keeping an eye on this game, but open world shooters rather lost their appeal a bit for me after playing Far Cry 2. Sometimes they can get a bit repetitious, boring... and I get tired of constantly dying (all those stupid bad guys in between points a and b). The graphics in Flashpoint look amazing... but I've also heard that the difficulty level is ridiculously high. If I want to be frustrated and stare at a respawn screen, then I prefer online multiplayer! For offline games I just want to relax.

I heard "Dead Rising" and I came right over.

I came too Jonathan.

@Elsa: If OpFlash 2 is anything like the first one, expect the game to be ridiculously difficult and realistic.

Hehe. This is funny. A guy in the year above me wouldn't shut up about this for the past few days. And yay for our failures at blog ideas. -fap-

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

 about me

Hey :] Call me Zippy :]

I have been told I'm an odd fellow, which is nice :) Loving Dtoid, been here for half a year now and I'm so glad I found a real community :D I feel more welcomed here than I have anywhere else.

I love all games new and old hence why I still have and play on my Spectrum, SNES, N64, PS1,2, Gameboy and more. I also have the rest of the N64/SNES games that I don't have in Physical form in Emulation form. I play PC a lot too. Check out Mame32 for a lot of classic very old arcade games.

On PC I mainly play TF2 and L4D1/2. On PS3 I mainly play Killzone 2, Street Fighter 4, Mirrors Edge, Little Big Planet and a load more. Plus a lot of mini games, I play those a lot too.

I'm currently studying a BTEC in Game, Art and Media Design, which is fun and has its perks. But at the moment I'm wanting to go travelling more than anything. I probably look at destructoid.com as much as it is updated, so at least once every 10-20 minutes.

What I am playing at the moment:
Trying to split my time between Left 4 Dead 2 and Team Fortress 2

PSN: Gladiator_21

What I am reading at the moment:
Nothing unfortunately.

What I am watching at the moment:
A lot of films.

What I am listening to at the moment:
The San Andreas Soundtrack

My favourite games/series of all time:
Too many games to list, I have that list saved though.
