Modern Warfare 2: The Sentry Gun

Just thought I'd throw this out there for anyone who hadn't seen it. I just noticed it a minute ago.

I spotted it on the Steam page after looking at the story about Infinity Ward using Steamworks.

Now I don't know what this entails, but it could turn out to be really good or just unbalance the whole game. It depends on what type they go for really. The Killzone type, the manned sentry, one like Team Fortress 2's, who knows? I can't wait to see what it looks like. Unless it's just a gun being able to mount onto walls like World at War.

I hope they get the balance right otherwise it could ruin the game. Not to overpowered, not to underpowered, just right. What would you guys like to see? A purely machine gun sentry or with rockets, or other properties? Shoot.

Edit: Ah here's some more details. I didn't even know it was sort of public knowledge. Well here's some copy and paste from the Wiki:

"Sentry Gun is a multiplayer kill streak reward in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. After achieving a 5-kill streak the player can call in a helicopter to drop down an automated turret. Any players with the Cold-Blooded perk will not be targeted by the turret."

It's a shame they essentially destroyed this game for many people, cause it could have been really damn good.

about me

Hey :] Call me Zippy :]

I have been told I'm an odd fellow, which is nice :) Loving Dtoid, been here for half a year now and I'm so glad I found a real community :D I feel more welcomed here than I have anywhere else.

I love all games new and old hence why I still have and play on my Spectrum, SNES, N64, PS1,2, Gameboy and more. I also have the rest of the N64/SNES games that I don't have in Physical form in Emulation form. I play PC a lot too. Check out Mame32 for a lot of classic very old arcade games.

On PC I mainly play TF2 and L4D1/2. On PS3 I mainly play Killzone 2, Street Fighter 4, Mirrors Edge, Little Big Planet and a load more. Plus a lot of mini games, I play those a lot too.

I'm currently studying a BTEC in Game, Art and Media Design, which is fun and has its perks. But at the moment I'm wanting to go travelling more than anything. I probably look at destructoid.com as much as it is updated, so at least once every 10-20 minutes.

What I am playing at the moment:
Trying to split my time between Left 4 Dead 2 and Team Fortress 2
