Earlier today, Barcade in Brooklyn was the site of the fiercest Wii Tennis competition New York City has to offer. There were victories and upsets; triumphs and heartbreaks. Crowds of men, women and bananas came to test their might... but only one remained standing as NYC's Wii Tennis champion. Who was it?? Well, fuck... Frankly, I didn't stick around the whole time to find out. But nevertheless, Wiimbledon 2008 was still the bee's knees. Check out what you missed:

Yes, it is true. I lost to the banana but I exacted vengeance in the form of devouring the banana's smaller cousin.

Anyway, the banana guy actually had a decent showing in the tourney and since I had not exactly prepared for my match, I lost pretty quickly. The lesson that I learned is that Wii Tennis is serious business.
