Many of you may be familiar with the
long and horrible story of how I lost my Game Boy, my copy of LSDJ and all of the music I had been working on in one ironic twist of fate. I come to you today with an update to that story.
Before I continue, I think it's only appropriate to preface this blog with the following statement:
My friends on Destructoid are the most amazing, supportive and all-around raddest group of chums that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing in my entire life. Period.
Within a day of the initial post detailing my misfortune, I had at least three Dtoiders offering to help me out in one way or another. A week later,
this comes in the mail from
ShadokatRegn:
Fully-working jade green DMG. Battery cover intact.
As if that wasn't enough, I meet up with
Iconsam earlier this week on 14th St, and he hands me
this:
32M flashcart - A high-capacity cart that can be used to store LSDJ.
And just like that, I'm back in the game. Take note: All of this occurred without any kind of provocation. All I did was share something, and my fellow robots unhesitatingly came to my aid with an unwavering hand and outstretched arm. Once again, I have been reminded that this community is no ordinary community -- This is a group of people who, over the course of
barely a year, have transformed from internet acquaintances to a loving family, the likes of which I've never seen in my 23 years of existence.
So, I guess I'll be ending this blog in the same way that I started it -- By saying that this is the greatest community on the face of the earth, and despite our occasional bickering, I will always look to things like this (and
things like this) to remind me that Destructoid is the greatest website on these fair internets.
Now please excuse me while I lay down some game boy beatzzz.

Also, I'm really glad the Gameboy was the only casualty here...seriously! Take care of yourself!
Beautiful.
My birthday is April 28th ;)
Also, does anyone remember the wise words of Atheistium? At least they didn't butt rape you.
