[MAC Only] Like many of you, I have a very, very large collection of video games. Therefore, it goes without saying that sometimes it's hard to keep track of what I have, and what I've lent out to others. Fortunately I stumbled across this neat little app which allows you to visually organize every single one of your games, movies, books, etc onto a virtual shelf. It's essentially "iTunes For Everything Else." At first this may seem like nothing more than an OCDer's wet dream, but let me explain why I love this program:
Automatically Details Your Media - Click a button to add new media, then just type in a title and Delicious Library automatically searches Amazon for the correct product. It will automatically fill in all the details of the product, including publisher, release date, and estimated current value. It even fills in the box art for you - And If the box art it chooses looks shitty, you can simply Google for some better looking artwork and replace it. Plus, Delicious Library
recognizes games from consoles dating all the way back to the Atari, and sizes the boxes accordingly on your virtual shelf. Bad-ass!
Keep Track of Where Your Games Are - Throughout the years, I've lost more than half a dozen great games because I lent them out to people, moved to a new apartment, and subsequently forgot who was borrowing them. No More! Delicious Library has a large detail section for each item which allows you to specify the current owner of the game or media selected. If the game is in your possession, you can even specify which of your many bookshelves/cabinets/piles-on-the-floor contains the game in question.
Scan Media Using Your Webcam - This feature is cool enough to warrant a standalone mention. Perhaps you have some games/movies/gadgets that are simply too obscure for Delicious to recognize ...Or maybe searching for products the old-fashioned way just isn't your style. That's okay, because Delicious allows you to scan the UPC bar code on the back of any product using your webcam. Fancy Shmancy.
Manage Your Gaming Backlog - I will say that I personally have an ENORMOUS backlog of games dating back to my early childhood that I
still haven't finished. Because Delicious Library can organize based on any of the details you provide, you can check/uncheck 'Played/Read' on any of your media items to keep track of which games you've completed and which games are still waiting on the back-burner.

Barcode scanner ftw. I love it when it mispronounced things.
Oh, bassssw, all of you. You'd bitch if people complained that there was no Mac version for something too.
I love Delicious Library- I've been using it for a year now to keep track of the shit I've sold.
This is awesome!
I'm downloading NOW!
I remember seeing something like this (might've been this) not too long ago. It seemed like it would take too long for me to put everything I had into it, so I dismissed it as one of the apps that I would never use. Cool idea though =\
I just got the demo, and already filled up the 25 free spots for games!
This is a great app. I have every intention on buying the full thing for $40 tomorrow. Thanx for bringing this up on the cblogs! :) I never would have found out about this otherwise!
