It gives me great pleasure to announce that something fun is happening in New Jersey! Hard to believe, I know, but this Sunday some Dtoiders and I will be heading to that lovely land of landfills to attend the Castlepoint Anime Convention at Stevens Institute of Technology. "But Zen! Anime Cons are only for smelly weeaboos and over-caffeinated jailbait that wear Naruto headbands and drink strangely-colored japanese soda!" Hold your desu's people, just hear me out: While anime is not something I'm immensely interested in, Chip Music certainly is -- I will be hosting a panel on the basics of making Chiptunes at 3 PM in Panel Room 1, with guest appearances from some local chiptune talent. If you've ever been curious about the art of creating chip music, now's your chance to learn some of the basics. After that there will be a concert featuring BlipFest veterans Bit Shifter, Bubblyfish and No Carrier. Headlining will be the one and only MC Frontalot! Question: Would you recommend Nanoloop or LSDJ for beginners. I know you use LSDJ, or did before you got it stolen. Im really interested, I have made a few things on Famitracker but could not really get into it. I hate PC programs.
Good luck with your lecture, I wish I could go.
I finally ordered and recieved my flashcart some days ago and am now trying to understand lsdj. Ive already played around a little with it, created some instruments and made some melodies, I still suck though.
It would be really awesome to attend but since I live in Germany theres now way I can make it.
Maybe you could record your panel and post the video online afterwards for eurofag chipnoobs like me :)
