Wow. Seems like some people have lost their ever living minds. Was it because somehow Bush passed an amendment for him to continue his presidency for a third consecutive term? Could it be that someone in their immediate family fell on hard times? Or was it that their Xbox360 got it's fourth RROD? No. Nothing that extreme. Actually nothing that shouldn't have been that remarkable. Just an honest review from our very own Destructoid. Our abode..our second home where we reside to talk junk , chill with each other and submerge in unison on our love of games.


Instead I see fellow Dtoiders going at each throats because of a ...... game review?? Are you for real ?? Do we not want a reviewer that is employed by Destructoid to write up an honest review? Isn't this why we visit a site like this? So we don't get patronized and insulted by feeding us bullshit which is better suited for people who don't know any better or think they do? Truth is a two way street. It can be what you want it to be but most likely , like life, it will be what you don't want it to be. But it being there is what matters. Therein lies the comfort of this site and what distinguishes it from the rest.


Now one of the things I love about Destructoid is the large amount of our own input creates, as a whole, the voice of Destructoid. People forget that other sites don't allow you to speak your mind freely. They forget some sites will show you to the forum section quickly, where even there, your comments are under the watchful eye of an administrator waiting to censor swiftly for any transgressions of the rules. Comments are welcome here freely, as are debates and constructive criticisms but some things I saw in Reverend Anthony's Review in his comments sections are frankly way out of line.

I don't proclaim to be affiliated officially with Destructoid, I contribute just like the rest of my fellow Cboggers. So this isn't from them..but I gotta tell you..when I hear..or read comments like this:

Heretic: This place doesn't matter outside as much as you think. And with as many tips submitted linking back to Joystiq, Gaia and Kotaku, be happy they keep the lights on here and not those shitty "you won an ipod touch" ads.

oh ya, and to guys like Nameless fucking Ted, HOW THE FUCKING DO YOU KNOW IT WAS A GOOD REVIEW IF YOU NEVER EVEN "CHECKED IT OUT" YET?? Some people on these boards need to get their heads out of certain editors asses and breath a little fresh air!! Ya, that means all those Jim Sterling cronies too.

Why is destructoid even listed on any review site?
Your reviews are complete and utter junk.

Comments like these are WAY out of the line. Comments like that insulted me, as well as make me ashamed we have actual Dtoiders in our mists that don't have the scruples to share their disagreement in a thoughtful and RESPECTFUL way.

Just because we all clown around and have a good time doesn't mean we toss respect out the window for the Editors & Writers of Destructoid. Just because they have fun with us on our Cblogs doesn't mean they are slobbering fan-boys who we can trash personally because they wrote up a review you disagreed with. Personally every time any one of the Editors/Writers show up on my blog.. I still find that a badge of pride that they actually are listening to me..to US, out of their busy schedule. The least I can do is show them respect.

Again, it's about respect. It's about the truth, as they see it, in reviews and it's about shutting the fuck up, THINK, then articulate your gripes or kudos in a matter befitting our second home we call Destructoid.
