Forgive my intrusion into your videogame news, previews, reviews and hipster critique of the genre ya'll love so much but I just saw this for the first time and practically soiled myself with excitement. Considering this is the internet and this is like a couple of days old, this may also be considered "ancient", seeing as time online is multiplied by a factor of twenty. Factor in that this is also not what would constitute a "blog" and I have now broken the golden trinity of posting something in our C Blogs. My apologies. But to those who haven't peeped this out yet nor have this tv show in their radar perhaps this trailer will rectify that.

OMG. This looks like the real deal gentlemen. The title to this post couldn't be any truer.

Oh this. Yeah, unfortunately my free trial of AMC runs out before this starts. I'd be all over this otherwise. Perhaps a DVD purchase will be in order cause Frank Darabont kicks so much ass.

Unpopular to say, but I'm a bit sick of zombies. They seem to have been the monster villains de rigeur in recent years, in games and film (and now TV) alike, but I've yet to see a recent production use them in any remotely imaginative ways. I can't see the video, given as how I'm posting from the UK, but as you can probably guess, the prospect of a new zombie drama isn't exactly setting my loins apassion. That godawful Prisoner remake apart, AMC appear to be producing some rather brilliant programming recently though, so if anyone can make it work, they've certainly got the form.

I'll take a flood of zombies over a pack of sparkly vampires any day. The trailer seemed to showcase a kind of tongue-in-cheek earnestness. I've not read the graphic novel...is that the tone they're going for?

Having been a fan of this comic and following it since its creation i can safely say i flipped out when i read the news it was being optioned for a show. Now if they can just get World War Z done right I will be in undead heaven!!

Between this and Boardwalk Empire, this is going to be such an amazingly great year for television.

Read the comic books, they are consistently the best released since 2003.

Every month is like a Romero zombie movie that never ends full of personal drama, interesting situations, and the undead. They're up to 70+ issues, but I guarantee you'll burn through every book within a couple settings and be waiting anxiously for the next one.

The thing I like about the comic and what I really hope carries over into the series is that its a story not about zombies and all the tropes that come with that but about people trying to keep their humanity in a world full of death and chaos. It makes it much more interesting than just killing zombies.

It's Ok Jimbo, I forgive you for being late on this, you are over 35 after all, which by internet standards makes you a dinosaur. Also, I haven't been able to keep up with the breakneck pace of the online world for the last week and a half or so, so this is new to me. Looks promising.

The only "series" I could find like this was Dead Set not so much a series as a 5 part british TV show thing, still worth a watch.
