I have a confession to make. I never cared for the Beta of Metal Gear Online. I thought it was buggy, slow, and the act of killing someone far too intricate as it would seem you had to unload four clips of anything for them to even register they were getting hit with anything. So when I procured my copy of Metal Gear Solid 4 the only thing I was interested in was the story mode. I haven't finished it yet as I am trying to be a ghost throughout, yet just for the story mode alone, which is devine, it's worth getting.

Imagine my surprise that for shits & giggles, Shipero and I took the multiplayer through its courses and I enjoyed myself. ALOT. They sped up the game considerably and while you still need to empty some clips on people for them to go down, that's nothing that a well placed heashot can't remedy. Perhaps because of my familiarity with the controls of the story mode the online portion of the game is more enjoyable, who knows. But the combination of Team Based games that actually works beautifully with actual TEAMWORK, the counterstrike-esque in between rounds of modifying your weapons, even your skills, and the lag free envirnments have finally made me a believer in the online portion of the game. Dare I say it has just skyrocketed to the heap of my multilayer games right now next to COD4. Bold words, but quite true.

This post is to see if we can find some like minded individuals who care to join our Destructoid Clan and work for supremecy and rankings with us. Shipero, Ha-Puken, SantanaClaus, Video_Cognito and I are looking for a few good men. Any takers?? Any Interested Dtoiders leave your Game Characters Name so we can add you to our friend's list and clan. Also you may want to tell us what skills you're rolling with so we can get a broder picture what skills we are lacking at as a team to further augment that to our benefit. While we would all like to be snipers it's not practical for us all to be on the roof.



Next Saturday Night I will debut METAL GEAR ONLINE SATURDAYS. Time being @ 10pm EST. Again if your interested and want to work up your rank and your play with us from the ground up...join us. We would love to have you guys aboard. Heads up, we are only playing Team Modes such as Bases [ Domination-like Mode ] and Team Deathmatch amongst others. No Deathmatch or every man for himself modes here.

It should be considering everybody with a PS3 should have this game. I look forward to seeing the lot of you online.
