Well, hell's yeah! If that's not a mistake on their part, I think you and I should cast aside our bans on FPS and get in on some zombie carnage PS3-style. And if it is a mistake, fuck it. That's what Street Fighter is for.

I keep getting your "play some games" message, you! I'm sorry I'm light on the PS3 games, and in addition, I don't have a mic for it yet (my PC mic is a standard salmon/green plug).
When I get my career started, I'll definitely join in with the latest titles: I'm still haggling with my wife to get Sacred 2.
Yeah, with Gabe's vocal hatred for the PS3, they won't be getting any Valve support for this game... so as IKIRYOU says, it will likely lead to an Orange Box situation.
... I guess it all depends on who they get to do the Port... hopefully they learned some lessons from The Orange Box (which was actually worthwhile for Portal alone... though I made sure I bought a used copy which I rarely do with other games! LOL!)
Maybe they'll make an Orange Box 2 with HL2: Episode 3, Portal 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 or something, and then never support L4D2 (on ps3).

If this is true, I think I'll join in on the PS3 style zombie massacring, but if not I'l just go back to re-training myself in Street Fighter.
Sounds good to me, now PS3 owners can see its nothing more than a crappy overrated shooter than only sold because of the Valve name on the box.

Knowing Valve's disgust of the PS3, I don't plan on touching the PS3 version of this game with a 10 foot pole. Sorry Yojimbo, but as much as I would enjoy playing this game with you on the PS3, I think I'll stick to the PC version. That sucks to, because I would love to kick some zombie ass beside you!!!
I'm in the same boat as Silver Dragon. I love my PS3 and I really hope this is true so that all the people who where not able to play L4D could play it now. But my PC is good enough to run it so Ill be getting it on PC for sure. But Ill be getting Modern Warfare 2 for PS3 ;)

Everything Valve is always best on the PC, but the Orange Box on the PS3 was actually really well done, despite what people who have never played the game like to say. In fact, there are a few things I prefer in the PS3 version over the 360 version.
My only concern with this is how multiplayer is going to work, thanks to the PS3's lack of letting us log into more than on PSN ID at a time.
PC for me. I won't get a nerfed version. :/

that would be killer Dan Citi! the orange box for the ps3 only had a framerate problem that didn't show up very often and lack of support. that wheelman game has frozen on me 5 times in different parts, orange box never froze on me.

This is good news, though. The only negative I can really see from this is zero support from Valve after the game's release.
As of Sunday, June 21 4:12AM CST, the site only says coming soon for Xbox 360, PC, and PC download. I guess they fixed the typo. I looked at the images in the coming soon section above the RP (rating pending) ESRB logo. I didn't dig too deep into the text, though. I'd be pretty surprised if it came to PS3 at all, let alone in November. Balls...
No L4D Sigma? Balls.

Yeah, even if it did, it wouldn't be in '09. Either way, I tried L4D on pc and 360 and I didn't really think it was all that great. Maybe if they packed both the first and L4D2 in one box I'd consider it, but then again, I just put a huge video card into my pc.
Can they make it even buggier if it's on the PS3?
