I don't generally advertise for Gamestop nor trumpet their values but I will say that I use them to find hidden gems and not let them use me to gouge me in their trade in offers. The relationship I share with them is fantastic with that understanding. Looking through my email those plucky folks at Gamestop took it upon themselves to send me their weekly ad. Usually it's crap highlighted or games that don't even have an actual price drop but today this caught my eye.

Yeah its Persona 3: FES. For twenty bucks. Less if you find a used copy. If you for whatever reason don't own this game yet, now would be a good time to get it. I'll even go so far as saying even if you don't like RPGs you should get it too. The game is that much of an experience. Go get it, you wont regret it. Hell if you got it, get it again for a Christmas present to that chum who refuses to get it. I love early Christmas shopping.

Hopefully Conrad will have it on the front page in his Discountoid feature blazoned with breasts for that attention gathering focus.

I got it after I played Persona 4. Gotta say I wish it was more like the fourth game.

I wish I could compare the two. I own both... but I haven't finished with P3 FES yet. So I haven't even opened the shrink wrap for P4. But what I've played of FES I love and this is from someone who is tired of most RPGs nowadays.

Im still at the last boss of Persona 3. Every time I come close to beating it, one of my characters gets charmed and fully heals it. Then I dont play for three months. Still, its one of the best damn games I have ever played, and 20 is a steal.

I'm quite apprehensive about getting this simply because from what I read about P3 and P4, which is a hell of a lot, P4 does improve on some gameplay aspects of P3, most notably the inclusion of starting off on the same dungeon level you left. but that's a minor issue.

Look foward to playing it in the future, right now I'm having too much fun with P4!

I'm playing trough P4 right now , but I already saw FES on to a friend's house , and I'm really not that excited , sure , unangbangkay made me sure that P3 story is way better , but the gameplay looks miles worst ...

There's not enough time in the day for me to start getting into the series at this point. I'll probably check it out later down the road.

For now, I'm content with blasting giant ants in EDF 2017 and blasting giant robots in Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2 (starting tomorrow).

I got Persona 3 FES months ago and I'm still only like 14 hours in. 90 more to go! The game is awesome though and I haven't really enjoyed playing an RPG for a long time. I just don't have enough time to devote to one game so it's taking me awhile. I've found its a good game to play off and on without getting lost on what you have to do.

I picked up FES not too long after finishing 4. I can't get into it as much as 4 though for some reason. I don't know, something about the aesthetics of Persona 3 and that I find the characters generally less likable than the P4 cast(from what I could tell in the short time I played through).

Who knows, maybe I'll feel different when I pick it back up after the end of the semester.

I got this wonderful gem for even cheaper at Circuit City when they were sinking. Great exceptional buy. I liked the system in 3 and while I've yet to play any of 4, I fail to see how it could be improved so much. I dunno.

I LOVE PERSONA 3.

I've played all the way through 3 and 4, and while the gameplay in 4 is much improved, the story in 3 just blows everything else away. I sold my copy of FES to buy the Amazon repack with FES and the original P3 art book. It's my favorite game-related thing I've got, currently.

I went out last week to get this after seeing that it was $20 on Ebgames.com but it was still $30 at the store so I decided no to buy it. I did walk out with a copy of Oddworld Stranger's Wrath for $5 so it wasn't a completely wasted trip. I'll definitely be all over this when it come down to $20 in Canadian EB Games stores, though.

That's nothing. Play.com had Persona 4 for only �9.99 at one stage.

But that's cool. Persona 3 FES is worth a high price.

Agreed. This game single-handedly got me back into jrpgs. Fantastic value for $20 (especially considering it's a solid 80+ hours).

A New Challenger

Got it at that price back in Amazon's Black Friday MADNESS, where it also came with the art book and CD. Those extras aren't essential but they are pretty sweet, especially for $20. I think it's still up on Amazon for $30 if you care about those sorts of things. Anyway, yeah, I just lost March to this game, and a good portion of April has been eaten by The Answer. I don't play a ton of RPGs but based on the good word of mouth for Persona 3 I picked it up and was pleasantly surprised. I managed to finish it in 120 hours, and I can't be bothered to finish the shorter Final Fantasy VI Advance for some reason. That's probably as ringing of a recommendation I can give.

Hell yes! The only problem is that Gamestop checks ratings and I'm under 18. And my parents hate anything that says 'M' on it.

I picked it up after loving P4 and I'm enjoying it quite a bit, I'm at October, floor 169 I think, everyone at level 50, I'm just leveling Ken at the moment.
