For those who are weird and may actually want to read more of my stuff here are things off the blog I do. Occasionally I write for
Flixist, a rad movie site where, get this, we talk about and review movies. I also help out a bud and try my hand out at game journalism (heh) at

I'll probably be crying myself to sleep for one reason or another.
Don't get me wrong, Burnout Paradise is good and all, but by God I hate pissing aroung half the time getting lost, losing because of the shitty minimap, not having damn markers to point me to a simple repair shop or garage whilst simply crusing around, exploring and stuff. Also, where's my DAMN CRASH MODE!!! ;)
Not even godamn planes makes up for those shortcomings, HOWEVER Burnout Paradise is well worth visiting, if only for a brief peroid of time, sorry.
Have fun guys. :)
It sounds like it could be Torque the game. sweetness
If you have this game, you better join us.
Make that the countryside, city, and the bloody freeway too, seriously!!
The weird thing is, I love the shit out of GTA4's minimap and how the marker works, same goes for the city layout, whilst I give myself a headache working out where I am in Paradise city.
I had this game, but gave to my best buddy for a shit ton of quality PS1 games, it kinda was a good deal. :)
You aint crazy. This IS the best Burnout game. You got a friggin' city as your playground versus prior games holding your hand in specific modes.Once you get into the flow of this game, there's no turning back. Pure Steve McQueen racing bliss.
The best part is, they are all high quality, there really is not a low-point in the series, I have minor niggles with Burnout Paradise, which equate to me not loving it as much as Burnout 3 or 2. I really did enjoy the time I played it, if only for a short while.
I think the developer is one of the best around, all the free stuff they are giving away proves it, may the Burnout series continue to stay this strong (and bring back my beloved crash mode) ;)
Get it for the PS3, if only so I can kick your ass... or maybe your youth and ritalin induced senses may have a chance to take me down. :D
Though $17 after my GameFly credit is pretty damn tempting...
That said, I do wish for better on screen prompts for turns etc. I have trouble in many areas trying to figure out where to turn. But still, awesomely fun game.
But I still love this game :)
It's on the way.
Won't get it til middle of next week, but I'll be burnin' next Friday.
No restarts, no GPS/waypoints, no jumping to destinations via the map? Why Criterion why?! I also agree with it being difficult to follow the prompts for turns.
Those bad decisions make it a much more frustrating experience than it should have been.
Also:
I heard that the motorcycle guys crashing don't do similar smashes like the cars. Can anyone confirm that?
the lame thing is that in my part of the world its thursday night, the 18th but no Burnout patch for me just yet.
Don't forget about Wipeout next week, oh yeah
( I really hope WO HD gets released on the same date in Australia as the US and UK )
to bad you cant crash the bikes. what happens when they crash? anything?
still no crash mode? lame.
Don't get cocky there Jimbo. You've just bought that game. Most people are playing this game since January. Now that's retarded.
In other words, I'm in you bearded old man.
Also, I find it insanely hard to see where I'm driving most of the time because of the glare.
