Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Seriously though, it would be lovely if you actually talked more about the stuff you make. Don't just show it off, tell us a story. What inspired you to make it? How did you make it? What problems did you run into? And how did you solve them?
Believe me, it's better for you, as it makes your products more interring and it's better for us, as it makes reading this stuff much more entertaining. Please, don't take any offense in this, I'm honestly doing this for everyones good, including yourself.
If that's the case, I apologise.
In all honesty though, this comment is true and sincere. I truly wrote it as means to help you. You did ask us for more constructive criticism last time you know. Specifically when someone criticised your iPad covers. See, I can remember the past too.
Peace and love. Peace and love.
Your stuff is good, but if you write something to go along with the pics - you WILL get a lot of good comments. We love new members, but the new members can't treat us like some one night stand. I'm sorry, but I like to cuddle after we do the nasty.

Your products look solid, and unless you're constantly having to make more of them then you can properly rest on that a little bit. Have you tried selling them through storefronts other than your own website, like Etsy.com or Artfire.com? Obviously, you want them to come directly to you, but having items on multiple sites can't hurt.
Also you can head to craft fairs to do networking and sales there, if your local scene is good, then you can pretty much eschew online sales altogether. Finding a local merchant that sells handmade goods is one more solid option. You might only take a percentage or selling things on consignment, but the idea is to get out there. You can leave your business card and contact info with your merchandise to help promote more sales and custom orders.
Your work looks bespoke, which is a great thing for smaller-scale, higher-end goods. Don't worry about how many faces see your goods. Look for the market with the money and the interest. I don't know if this is your prime market, although your handiwork is pretty damn nice. Quality and uniqueness of product is what sells these types of things, marketing is only as good as the audience. Find that audience and you will be golden.
Again don't wear yourself thin. It's not good for your nerves, and it definitely isn't good for your work. Caring about what you do is one thing, letting it tear you apart is another whole.
@ VenusInFurs. Do I need your approval to be part of this community? I'm not new to this site. I've been here for years. I just don't write much. Oh, I almost forgot, cocks.
