About Me
Heylo, I'm Ry. I've been into video games for a very very long time, starting with my mega drive when I was about 2 to 3. I've been playing games a lot ever since, I love it.

I play all sorts of games, I love RPGs and 8-way-shooters. Quite addicted to super stardust HD..

I play on my PS3 most of the time, I love my PS3.

My favourite games series is the Tales series. Eternia being my favorite one of the series.

Right now I'm playing my way through Killzone 2 on the hardest difficulty (slowly), it's pretty fun.

Outside video games, I'm a computer networking student, starting University soon to do advanced computer networking and internetworking concepts, leading to a Masters in network security.

Favorite games ever:

Tales of Eternia
Secret of Mana
Final Fantasy IV
Chrono Trigger
Timesplitters 3
Sonic 3 & Knuckles
Resident Evil 2
Silent Hill 2
Metal Gear Solid
Tales of Phantasia
Peggle
Crystal Defenders
Pokemon Crystal
Super Stardust HD
Final Fantasy VII
Mario 64
Fatal Labyrinth
Armoured Core: FA

Applied for a job..
Xenfinity | 3:53 PM on 05.02.2009 19 comments

Because I'm partial to buying some new games every month, and because I live in the UK and games are not cheap, I decided to apply for a job, some £11-per-hour part time tech support job, 20 hours a week. I don't even know if I'm going to get the interview yet, and I really hope I do, and getting the job would be just great.. There's only so much you can buy with the money the college gives you every month, blah.

Even though I haven't even got confirmation that I'm getting an interview, I've already cut and dyed my hair, so it's "tidier". That goes to prove I really want this job, I never usually change my appearance for anything, I went to my university interview/tour with bright blue hair. £220 a week for helping people with my "Microsoft product knowledge" isn't that bad considering.

Anyone else ever wanted a job, or even something else, so bad that they did something out of character to get it/increase your chance of getting it?

A job? No. Cute girls? Yes. Which is as it should be... Money cannot buy you happiness.

Unless it comes from Sony [TM]. Also worth noting, your PS3 cannot give you an STD.

Unfortunately, nobody really cares if you get a job or not. But I'll be nice and give you a somewhat constructive comment:

Rent games, it's cheaper. That's the best advice I can give poor people.

I'm out for the summer but there aren't really any "science jobs" for me. Though with the fiasco that is the swine flu, I should have plenty of job options when I graduate since everyone will be scared into giving microbiologists money to save them ^_^

Quit being emo: do chores/shovel snow/sell lemonade and get gamefly.

PROBLEM SOLVED.

I applied to 6 jobs last month and have yet to hear back from any, and it's been nearly three weeks. Stop bitching.

I've applied to like fifty jobs since January and heard from none. I now wash dishes three nights a week. No one cares.

Also, Takeshi wins.

Ooft, wasn't a blog about other peoples jobs, me looking like an emo, my education or being able to afford games. I asked a question about wither anyone went to a certain length to attain something. Inb4 "bawww", but I was just trying to get to know some of the community I recently joined. I could easily do so in the forums, but the comment system's there to be used.

Well said. Also tattoos on my forearms make getting some jobs impossible. Also cocks.

I don't think tattoos are a good enough reason to stop someone getting a job, should be rated on performance.
