It kills me that all people do with these hacked for modded systems is play old Nintendo games.

If I modded something, it might be an old original xbox, and I'd use it as a solid media PC. I have a lot of soft-subtitled anime that the 360 doesn't handle well.

I honestly just don't understand why people don't simply buy the older, original consoles if they want to play old games. They even have a lot of these old games available through PSN or the Wii's virtual console. Playstation One games still even run on the PS3. I honestly don't get why someone would hack the shit out of their PS3 to play old stuff - when there's already lots of old stuff available out there to play.

It's funny how people hack a PS3 to emulate games that they could safely emulate on PC where no one gives a shit. Especially PS2 and earlier games, which are now pretty much considered free to emulate as the companies involved aren't making money off them now anyway. So you hack a new system, risk getting banned from PSN or worse, just to have Star Fox, which you could emulate for free on PC with no modding? Or spend the whopping 5 dollars on a cartridge version and 50 max on a Super Nintendo capable system?

This is why I don't associate with hackers. They have absolutely no logic and just do shit because they can.

I like it for the games that DON'T come out on VC/PSN, never will, and are impossible to find anywhere for a reasonable amount of money. That, and hooking up old consoles to my HDTV will cause interlacing and lag. It's easier to just get an emulated non-lag version, though it doesn't quite feel the same.

How does it run? Does it run about how it would on a console (aka slowed down a lot)? I know the SNES9X port for Wii runs it a bit fast, or used to, anyway. Then again, Star Fox 2 worked pretty normal...
