Pour One Out for Journeyman [Update]

The writers strike is still ongoing and I'm all for the writers getting their due... but I'm a little angry.

Okay, not angry exactly. As a member of CPRS (Canadian Public Relations Society), IABC (International Association of Business Communicators) and WEN (Writers and Editors Network) I understand that standards need to be set in the industry so everyone can live adequately in the areas where work exists and the cost-of-living rarely goes down.

I'm disappointed that due to the strike NBC has decided to save some coin by shit canning a few of their new shows. One of those shows seems to be Journeyman.

It was a great show, and I urge you all to check it out sometime.

Hope something happens to bring it back.

Also, I blame Heroes for sucking this year for its demise.

Good luck to the cast and crew and stay tuned to see (Journeyman star) Kevin McKidd wield the Hammer as Thor next year on the big screen (at least that's the rumor).

I watched about the latter half of the first episode and while my friends decried it as a Quantum Leap rip-off, I thought it was kinda interesting to see the implications for his family as a result of all this time-travelling he seemed to be doing. Kinda wish I'd bothered to watch more of it.

I highly doubt that Heores has met its "demise", though.

I think he meant that Heroes is responsible for Journeyman's demise, because it was the lead in show. Heroes still pulled in good ratings though. I know I ended up not watching Journeyman because, like Conrad mentioned, it just seemed like a Quantam Leap ripoff.

Like everyone said, I thought it was a Quantum Leap rip-off. As for Heroes I stopped watching about a few episodes before the first season ended. I just stopped caring since no huge awesome battles (i.e. Justice League) happened with all the heroes involved.

@kawitchate: The producer of the show wrote Journeyman is likely cancelled on his official NBC blog back on December 13th. [URL: http://blog.nbc.com/journeyman/]

Also, according to Nielson ratings (provided by Entertainment Weekly) Heroes numbers were down in season 2 and because this season was weak I think it led to more people tuning out prior to the start of Journeyman.
