Hello Destructoid, this is my first community blog. I've been lurking this Site since it's inception, and I could never do the blog thing for a few reasons. 1. I have a terrible history wuth online communities, as it seems most sites I have a habit of visiting tend to be the world's most judgmental people (Take CE on GameFAQS for an example), and if people are that hasty to pick out my grammar or spelling error in a small post, I figured a blog would never end well. 2. I never really had anything to talk about. But beyond that, I figure I might as well join in, because watching this place I've noticed very few trolls, very little homophobia (No, I'm not gay, nut peoples constant ignorance is so fucked up), and from the few people I've talked to in this community, it seems to be very friendly, so why not give it a try! (also I realize this is the most fail blog entry of all time, but I felt I had to make it)

Protips:
Don't dub yourself failblog right off the bat - you could have took the time to make something substantial, and you didn't, and admitted you didn't.
People don't pick on you so much for grammar; it's content. If your content is meaningless, and you post 3-4 stupid blogs a day. Yea, then people will pick on you.
Also, there are lots of gay-bashers, but none of them are serious. Learn to take offensive jokes with a grain of salt or you will never last anywhere on the internet.
So welcome to Destructoid, home of the internet's fabulous.
I hope you stay and welcome as for your blog subjects, find something you really love, something you might be passionate about, the words will write themselves.

On a serious note, welcome to Destructoid. Or, in the case of Garison, DETRUCTOID.
Also, if you've been lurking forever, you know we're a ravenous wolf back in the comments. So be prepared to be offended.
I'm just giving you a heads up. We're not all bad though.
(See my profile for more details)
don't let it bother you, but try to take some of it to heart. the only reason we will pick on you for that stuff here is to raise the quality of the average cblog, because we all enjoy reading them.
it's not that everyone wants you to be perfect, it's just that we value each other's opinions, reviews, jokes etc. and if you make them difficult to read and understand then people won't bother trying to do either.
enough preaching anyway, welcome to dtoid.
