Welcome to Dtoid's Friday Night Fights for Xbox 360!
FNF is a weekly, community-run event where Dtoiders get together to play videogames online! Planning starts in the forums, followed by posts here in the cblogs and on the front page on Fridays. It's easy to get involved, so why not start today?!
<-- You can read the blog for more info, but here are the basics:
How to FNF
To Play • Leave a comment in the blog or forum post with your Gamertag and which games from the schedule you want to play. More people will show up if they know other people are playing, so speak up!
• Send an Xbox LIVE friend request to the person hosting the game and let them know you're from Dtoid and you're ready to FNF!
To Host • Leave a comment in this blog or the week's forum post listing game you want to play, the time you want to play it, and your Xbox LIVE Gamertag.
• Don't worry about hosting the same game or hosting a game at the same time as someone else. Instead, think of it like a movie theater; more than one game can run at the same time!

What are you doing still reading this?! Let's play some games!
As many of you know, last night was Halloween in the United States. Since I was educated in the U.S. I can only imagine we're the only ones that celebrate that and anyone in Canada or other places that aren't the U.S. have no idea what Halloween is.
So for those of you that don't, here's what it is:
Everyone dresses up like the movie fad from the past summer, so we have a lot of Batmen, Iron Men, other super heroes for the guys and slutty versions of the previous characters for the ladies. The kids are no different, my son and dog went as Iron Man, so there's that. Then you parade around your neighborhood taking candy from people you talk to one time a year then return home to sort the candy. As parents, you have a one hour training class before Trick-or-Treating to train your kids- not for picking out the razorblades in candy, but picking the top tier candy, such as Reese's, Butterfingers, etc, over the crud, like Tootsie Rolls and Smarties. Then you limit your kid on only several pieces while the parents binge themselves on the candy while watching 80's horror flicks. The leftover crud candy that doesn't get eaten gets left in a bag until next Halloween when it is given to neighboring kids.
So, that's how my night went. I'm pretty sure it's the same everywhere. In game news, Batman: Arkham Origins released last week and Monk is hosting a game tonight. I hear the campaign was great, a few bugs here and there, but worth playing. I haven't heard anything on the multiplayer though
Battlefield 4 also released for the current consoles and PC, but it seems most of the Dtoid BF3 group is waiting to get it on the Xbox One/PS4. I can't wait to play it with you guys in a few weeks.
New to Friday Night Fights? It's easy to get involved!
Each week, a bunch of us Dtoiders get together to play videogames online! It's a 100% community-run event, so feel free to join in or even host something yourself!
The planning for FNF starts in the forums where community members volunteer to host matches and post their pertinent details (game, time, Gamertag, etc.). Then, every Friday, reminder posts go up here in the cblogs followed by a recap post on the front page on the front page for last-minute planning.
To join in, simply send a friend request to the match host! (Don't forget to say you're from Dtoid!) If you'd rather host something yourself, just post your details below in the following format:
Game: Game Name
Host: Dtoid Username
Gamertag: Xbox Live Gamertag
Time: Time (Eastern please!)
We hope to see you online!
