When GU was featured in a recent Art Attack Friday I was told "I hope to see you around. Don't be afraid to pimp out your stuff :)". Usually I avoid any kind of self promotion, I prefer people find GU via word of mouth. But, I figured I'd try to oblige. And where initial reponse was very positive the last two responses advised me not to shill. I've never been accociated with such actions before and I'd really prefer not to be associated with them ever again. Really sorry if I offended anyone there.

I'll still be reading Destructoid religiously.

Duke Nukem: Encouraging the Pig

By this point I'm sure many of you have seen the new screenshots and trailer for Duke Nukem Forever. Once again 3D Realms dangles just enough in front of their audience to convince them that this game is coming out. Me, I'm not 100% convinced. We've seen stuff like this for 10 years.

I won't say that the game is never coming out. I'd like to but that would show too much of my personal bias on the matter. I'm just waiting for other the shoe to drop that carries with it some story of woe about how the company needs to re-examine the graphics yet again. I honestly think my son (who is currently only one month old) and I will still be laughing about the release of Duke Nukem Forever when 5D Realms announces it's redeveloping the game to make use of the new Double Dense Holoflex Media (DDHM) technology.

It's a reference to an older comic, wherein the pig was wearing a rocket pack over... uhmmm... here:
