Thanks to Lowkey's blog pointing out this kickass art I was able to do a bit of digging to try and find the artist responsible for those amazing images.
If you're like me and when you see something this slick you feel the urge to sift through anything he's put up on the 'net you can find out more about him HERE.
His name is Ben Mauro and he is awesome.

All feelings about a 2nd iteration of Bioshock aside, here's hoping the attention he's gained will land him a yob!

Wait, people didn't know who did the work of art? It was for a class of his and the assignment was to draw concept art for a sequel to a game, well that is what he told me.

Well if you know the guy, neato. /clap.
But for those of us that don't after following the link over to ripten, they mention who he was, displayed what he did and touched on what they were for but as fat as I could see, no link was provided to a portfolio.

Thanks for looking into it more and getting some info about the artist. I am sure he can find a job from it; if not, I bet Destructoid would give him a buck or two to just draw more kick ass stuff.

Oh, I don't know him...I saw the pics on his site and emailed him to get details. Some friends and I were excited about possiblities of a giant mechanical whale!
