About
Welcome to the Wii U Friday Night Fights Blog!

As time passes this section will get bigger and better! For now it is what it is.... a sidebar with not much else.

Hopefully though, with your help (the community I mean) we can grow the Wii U FNF in to something special.

Keep checking back for more updates and don't be shy, get out there and host some games on the Wii U for Friday Night Fights!

This week was a pretty exciting one if you're a Nintendo fan, what with all the games announced during the latest Nintendo Direct. There was old, new, sequels, remakes, crossovers, and fucking CROCHET YOSHI! Personally, I think Monolith Soft got me most excited, because we actually saw what they had. And boy, was it glorious. Xenoblade was absolutely fantastic, and the new game seems like an expansion on the same ideas. I'm all for new ideas expanding the JRPG umbrella.

Oh Wind Waker is getting remade or something. That's kinda cool, I guess. :P If they can fix all the little problems it had, it could actually be even better. How crazy would that be?
Not sold on a Wii U yet? There's always E3. All hail Retro

For those of you who do have one, we should play some games together. Today or even during the weekend if you're out & about tonight.

New to Friday Night Fights? It's easy to get involved!

Each week, a bunch of us Dtoiders get together to play videogames online! It's a 100% community-run event, so feel free to join in or even host something yourself!

The planning for FNF starts in the forums, where community members volunteer to host matches and post their pertinent details (game, time, Nintendo ID, etc.). Then, every Friday, reminder posts go up here in the cblogs followed by a recap post on the front page on the front page for last-minute planning.

To join in, simply send a friend request to the match host! (Don't forget to say you're from Dtoid!) If you'd rather host something yourself, just post your details below in the following format:

Game: Game Name
Host: Dtoid Username
Nintendo ID: Nintendo ID
Time: Time (Eastern please!)

We hope to see you online!

Is your body........ Reggie..?

.......And were back!

After a short week or two hiatus (thanks stupid holidays!) the Wii U Friday Night Fights is back! Hopefully we can keep the momentum going!

A big thanks to Andrew S. Dixon Esq. III for reminding people that the Friday Night Fights is a real thing and does still exist!

Now fire up that GamePad, go draw some fun stuff on the Miiverse and more important, have fun gaming with your fellow Dtoiders!

It's time to fight! Friday Night style...

Well, well, well.... what do we have here?

It looks to me like we have our very first Nintendo Wii U Friday Night Fights, that's what!

Hopefully this will be an ongoing thing, with Nintendo finally embracing the HD age as well as actually having a pretty great online service this time around, there is no reason why we can't have a consistent flow of games and gamers hosting and playing games on the Wii U week in and week out.

I am definitely open to help in keeping this going, between this, the 360 FNF (which thankfully I have SuperMonk4Ever helping) and real life (work and stuff), I'm not sure that I can continue doing this week in and week out.

If you are at all interested in he;ping out on a weekly to bi-weekly basis (I think I may already have someone.... I'm looking at your, Smurfee..), let me know in the comments below.

Now let's not waste any more time here, let's get to the real reason why you stopped by (other than the "OMG WTF" reaction I bet most of your had)..

That's right, I'm talking about the games...all two of them!

(p.s. The banner up top is temporary, I threw it together last minute last night just to have something)
