Anyone else heard about this bull?
If rumours prove true we are excepting not one, not two, not five, but EIGHT new guitar hero games within
2009 ALONE.
Here's a lovely little list of the games excepted for this year;
Guitar Hero: Metallica

Guitar Hero: Van Halen

Band Hero
Another DS game
Now what the flaming crap? Hell, I don't even expect this from Sonic, and we are getting sonic game after sonic game as of late.
I mean, back when GH first came out, it was revolutionary, it took Music based games, set them on fire, drove over them a couple of times used the ashes to form a guitar, got all the countless religions gods to bless it as thier one true child, and sold it as probably one of the most fun games ever, at the time, now? The gods have abandoned the franchise, and Activision are thinking that they are so damn awesome, that they can piss all over the fans, and expect them to still love them, I mean hell, all these damn expansions could be put on
ONE GODFORSAKEN DISK. I mean damn, blue-ray has a freaking RIDUCLOUS size capicity on it, look at Metal Gear Solid 4, it is 46 GB in size! Now, I'm sure ALL those would be LESS than 46 freaking gigs. I mean, yeah admittedly, HD DVD doesn't have as much space, but it can still hold more than they are putting it on those god damn disks.
To me it seems that activision have this mindset that everyone has enough money to buy this crap without doubt.

Here is my biggest gripe. Guitar Hero 5, so that means Guitar Hero World Tour = 4. Alright fine. Band Hero? What the fuck? World Tour had the band in it, as will Guitar Hero Metallica, Greatest Hits, and presumably the other ones. So Activision is either gonna be HUGE WHORES and give you Guitar Hero 5 with the whole band and Band Hero with the whole band or take steps backwards for Guitar Hero 5 and just make it guitar again. How in THE FUCK does that make sense?
guitar hero was not revolutionary at all, they just made a standard, rip off rhythm game with a plastic guitar instead of a plastic turntable.
i suppose when 99% of the GH fanbase are children and idiots, you should probably expect to be treated as such.

And why are you shocked at this? We are talking about a company who refused to publish Ghostbusters and Brutal Legend because and I quote "They lack the potential to be exploited every year"
I for one fully approve of Greatest Hits, especially since the previous covers will now be masters with full band support. The DS games are awkward as hell to play, so I'll be skipping those without a doubt. DJ Hero has been known about forever. Also, I'd bet that "Band Hero" is complete bullshit since that's what ultimately became World Tour. Metallica and Van Halen is something I'll probably get when they're dirt cheap used.
If you don't like the game, don't buy it. If you are complaining that it costs too much to buy every game and they should throw it all on one disc... well, I ask, do you think that's fair of the company? The company who has to pay all of its employees to produce and market these games, including the cost of the music licenses? They aren't cheap to make and videogaming is, unfortunately, an expensive hobby if you want the latest and greatest. But hey, isn't every hobby in the same boat?
It's like bitching about every godamn Britney's Dance Beat or Disney game because they are so mindlessly dumb and rush-produced just to make money off of a brand name.
But at the end of the day, do I really care? Nope. Rock Band: The Beatles for the Wii will retail at 59.99$, but I'm not going to lose sleep over it.
I am excited for DJ Hero, though, mostly because it will bring a popular light to DJing, which is awesome.
To each his own, I guess! :)
