I don't know if there will be weekly updates, but hopefully as long as I'm getting enough interesting done there will be.
With a few more days of work, I've gotten in some basic combat stuff. As is usual for me, I spent way too much time with unnecessary stuff like adding "bounce" physics and old school blink out effects. But eh, that's how I keep it fun to work on.
So this just shows off my basic move set beating up teh haloz. Also I left the collision debug on, just so you can better understand what's going on.
Sweet! This answers so many questions. Though, I am discouraged that the sprites I make will be really blocky while the enemies are professionally made. So, I am going to step it up! Mwhahaha, once my computer decides to stop bugging out on me I will start on the greatest sprites ever made!
And if you could send me one halo sprite that would be great for a size reference.
I'm ready to throw down any work you need done. I'm by no means a professional at this stuff, but I'm a quick study and enthusiastic. I've been trying to assemble all the stuff necessary to do this myself, but it'll probably go faster if I just help you work on this. Hit me up and we can figure out if there's anything I can do to assist.
