So, the main reason I wanted to code my own game, instead of mod Beats of Rage (other than the fact I have nothing artistic to contribute), was because of limitations in the original game engine. It just wouldn't be practical to implement a full screen super attack that includes a playable Ikaruga mini-game. Working on my own game however, I could waste a week implementing just that.
It's mostly complete at this point. I'd love to have better graphics, but I'm working off whatever I can rip, find on the internet, and make myself (which isn't much).
Also you would have to pick up a lot more matching bullets to fire the super lasers in the real thing, I just made it two for demo purposes.
Also plus 10 internets if you know where I ripped the clouds from (they're much brighter in the original game, also I just bought a boxed copy of it).
oh man. i'd KILL to code games like that. that looks freaking sweet and just to prove my first sentence i have little bunny foo-foo here just in time for easter hooked up to one side of a dry cycle battery! reveal your secrets or the bunny gets it!
As an animation update: Kinda forgot to make a dash, so once again the animations are delayed, but only because I want to release all the basics movements at once. Also, I am going to make the walk more natural for fighting.
Oh, and yes, there was a surprise paper. Social Studies :P
Also, is it okay for each character to be different? Like faster or slower? Because 1) it would be awesome and 2) I think it would be awesome... and fun to animate.
-Topher would be slow and the heaviest hitter
-Dyson would be the balance character
-Chad would be fast but each hit does low damage.
-And if you would allow Colette to be a short ranged spell caster that would be great.
Once again, just throwing my retarted ideas out there.
Ummm yeah, sure they can have different speeds, all the characters in FF and SoR were like that anyways. I dunno about spellcasting though, unless I guess it's just normal attacks but with shiny effects (and a large range compared to melee?).

I will say it again, if you need voice actor, contact me.
Also it was a pain in the ass to rip.
