Holy crap, are you serious? I don't think Best Buy will give you any problems, just show them that the company screwed up. That's horrible...
I'm sure if you explain it to them, they'll be gladly to replace it since it's kind of a manufacture problem. You don't have to yell at anyone, if you explain to them nicely about the problem.
Working at a video store that kinda stuff happens every once in a while. We've gotten DVD's without DVD's in them, just empty cases from our supplier. We've also had an entire shipment of a movie defective, they all froze at the exact same spot for everyone.
There shouldn't be any problem getting this replaced. When they sell as many DVD's as they do it's probably somewhat common.
Theres no reason they wouldn't simply exchange it. Its not like you're trying to get your money back after opening it or anything. Its just a manufacturing error.

Also, BAAAAAAWWWWW BlurayFail , BlurayFail
Right...
How did Bluray fail?

Sounds to me like a dipshit retail assistant didn't know the difference between a 3 and 5.

FUCK THAT KID
lol.
Wow, this is some tough shit. I have no idea how you're going to manage to get through this.

We're all here for you. Good luck.
@Skribble:

Exactly how is a packaging/manufacturing problem a retail assistant's fault?
oh, man. fail. total fail, ahh!
@Video:

Often the discs are stored separate to the container, and it is the assistant's job to put the two together without sucking.
@Calkulon:

I worked at Best Buy for a decent amount of time and that has NEVER happened with us.
Not that big of a deal, chill.
Crazy stuff!

Something like this happened to when when I bought season 5 of In Living Color. I opened the case up and BAM it was full of Season 1 dvd's.

Got my monies back though.
Docmuent everything that happens and dont overreact to any stupid shit that best buy may pull. If they wont budge tell your story over at www.consumerist.com
@VC:

What never happened? The storage or the fuck up?

If storage, that's BS, that's the whole point of display cases. May not happen everywhere, but it is common.
If the fuck up, then this guy was a tool. Shit happens.
I don't have sound so I don't fully understand what is going on here.
@Holyetheline: He has 2 disk fives.

Just return the blu ray then when you get the other one.. open it right there to make sure that it is numbered properly.
