Some call me Volomon, some call me Elite Destroyer of Worlds, some call me Superman, and even still some call me for a midnight voracious ravaging ala ménage à trois.
Through all the naming of me Volomon, I yet stick to the modest identity as a
PS3 fan.
Don't forget to play with
girls or you'll turn queer, if your balls don't turn blue and explode first.
If your a girl, don't forget to check your mammaries for cancer with a firm shake and squeeze.

(If you can't manage a 1.0 K:D in a game don't bother)
I see what you're saying. If this (Second Screen) turns out to be the final PS3 Product... What the hell are they wasting their time for. (Square Enix).
The only thing i can think of. Is cutting down the amount of Multiple 360 Discs it would be cut onto?
Thanks for this tidbit Volomon.
BUHAHAHAHAHAHOHWOW.
13 is old news, It's all about 14. Hell, when TGS comes out, it'll be all about XV. That shit is gunna be so choice.
And not to mention the game has yet to undergo optimization, which will probably clear up resolution problems like this.
I'm no big fan of Microsoft. There are plenty of ways to bash those greedy bastards. This isn't one of them-or at least it won't be until there is irrefutable proof that Square deliberately reduced graphical quality for the sake of the 360. And if it satisfies your ego, I can safely promise you that the PS3 version will sell much much better, which is one step back towards Sony exclusivity. (if that isn't really a word then I just invented it!)
Are you talking about the depth of field effect?
If so thats a pretty standard effect used on quite a few PS3/360 titles and im sure the wii uses it here and there too.
Enix(with atlus and others around) is already on the verge of being marked as a has been and in alot of peoples eyes this is thier last chance so they better make at this game memorable and that means taking advantage of everything they have got, so if this is true this game just got off to a bad start already and it doesn't even have a release date.
There a lot of games that overuse the "BLUR" theres a difference between just using the blur mechanic to improve a focus. It's usually placed over high res textures. However the Blur as in the above is the texture reduced in size/quality. Then on top of that blurred to further reduce the strain on the system.
This statment is still out right lie though, you completly made it up.
Could just be how the game really ended up looking.
MGS4 looked better in it's earlier builds. They degraded the graphics to ensure a better frame-rate. Konami said that they had to bring down their expectations to match the capabilities of the console.
This smacks of that all over.
It's still beautiful though.
That's just a matter of opinion. Out of the two screenshots i prefer the latter, it looks less 'GAMEy'.
Another example: I thought Mass Effect was way nicer with blur on then without. If they downgrade the graphics and add filters/blur as a stylistic choice (or to help it chug along better) then i'm cool with that.
yackity schmackity...
I'm not sure if this has already been said but the original image was probably rendered using the Crystal Tools engine on PC.
I really don't think it has anything to do with the PS3 or 360. You could tell the subtle graphics difference between the two versions when they were demonstrated at E3. I don't actually own a PS3 but it will no doubt look better on one.
Anyway, since when were games all about the graphics? I just hope it has a decent story! :)
