Some call me Volomon, some call me Elite Destroyer of Worlds, some call me Superman, and even still some call me for a midnight voracious ravaging ala ménage à trois.
Through all the naming of me Volomon, I yet stick to the modest identity as a
PS3 fan.
Don't forget to play with
girls or you'll turn queer, if your balls don't turn blue and explode first.
If your a girl, don't forget to check your mammaries for cancer with a firm shake and squeeze.

I swear to God though if it gets as stupid as it did back there I will slap someone.
If they wanted realism, she should of at least double tapped.
I don't personally have a problem with nudity. We're born naked and nudity is a wonderful feeling. I went to University in BC near Wreck Beach... a famous nude beach and you quickly realize that nudity is not necessarily sexual. There are all shapes and ages on the beach and you quickly just become used to it... it's no different than seeing people in their clothes after awhile - some are attractive, others not so much (though NOBODY looks good playing nude volleyball).
If the pictures are tastefully done and portray the body in it's natural state, I don't have much concern... if the pictures are specifically posed to elicit sexual arousal - then it's not nudity, it's porn and falls into a different category. It's the same with games... I have absolutely no problem with nudity in games... even mildly erotic nudity... but hardcore porn meant primarily for sexual arousal and serving no other purpose - no thanks.
It's the same with movies... there are movies... and there is pornography. Rapelay and the such aren't games... they're pornography. The scene shown in Heavy Rain serves a plot purpose and while it's likely included as titillation, it's also not done in a vulgar manner. It's not much different from a movie (and it likely wouldn't be a porn movie or she'd have never hit him over the head!... ummm... yeah, not going to make the obvious remark about which head).
No idea on Playboys pics... but Playboy tends towards the mildly erotic and mostly tasteful nudes (unlike other magazines which lean more towards pornography)... then again, it's been a long time since I've seen a Playboy mag - so maybe it's changed.
Anyway... my opinion is that if Olivia Munn can do Playboy... then why can't some of the women from games. I just hope that devs take responsibility for ensuring that the nudity is tasteful and reflects the personality of the character.
meh... just my opinion anyway... everyone has one.
Call me a completionist then, :) the link, has more I don't think that is the full spread but I could be wrong. Actually they are not as easy to find as you think they are, the word playboy brings up freaking every playboy thing in the world. The word playboy and game brings up the Playboy Mansion: The Game
@Elsa I agree with most of what you said, but Olivia Munn acts like a total slut anyway. Not to mention, not a single shot of Olivia Munn is actually nude all her shots are covered up. Which brings to the point, if you show nudity are you taken less seriously. To continue on your point clearly Olivia Munn thinks so. The notion of nudity is stronger than the actually nudity, Olivia is wise on this.
It's a lot harder to take something seriously when they wantonly show nudity, like I previously mentioned. Granted no game is of a scientific or mental nature in the first place, but when the Game's industry cries take us seriously is represented by:
Maybe it's reflective of the "teen" years of gaming. Eventually though it's going to have to grow out of it. It flaunts sexuality yet gives nothing in the way of actual adult theme or maturity in a majority of it's games.
It's a lot harder to take something seriously when they wantonly show nudity
This is where the argument borders on stupidity. Who cares? I swore I'd stay away from opinionating on this thread as I feel like it's not much worth ranting about (especially since Elsa said a lot of what I believe albeit a little nicer and less extreme) but I hate when people say random nudity makes something difficult to take seriously. Why? It's just nudity. Did we not get over this at 16? Even for sex appeal is it so difficult to just get around it?
Ugh, maybe I should shut up but I can not believe anyone would take this so seriously. I can't anyone can take a naked person so seriously. If they were fucking maybe I'd be more sympathetic to providing a real discussion.
Anyway, I'd have to agree with Elsa and Xzyliac here.
