About
Destructoid feature contributor and bearer of a supremely weird last name (pronounced JIZZ-wall-dee). An active standup comedian in Los Angeles, Vito's sardonic brand of humor shines through whether he's penning humorous editorials or bothering B-list celebrities on the red carpet.

Vito is an avid collector of retro games, and personally thinks it's about time for an HD remake of Konami's Sunset Riders. He also runs the popular Magic: the Gathering website DraftMagic.com.

I was playing Metal Gear Rising the other day, and noticed a pretty interesting little tidbit, which seems to hint at why they used the codename "Phantom Pain." Check it out: http://www.endbutton.com/metal-gear-solid-5-to-be-set-in-cambodia/

Unfortunately, I am a super busy dude. Last week was a mess of editing video for a job, being sick and playing Atelier Ayesha (which as my upcoming review will tell you, wasn't all that great).

I also want to comment that it's kind of awesome that I can open an article by ripping on Sony, and still get a bunch of comments calling me a Sony fanboy (http://www.destructoid.com/winning-the-console-wars-sony-s-not-so-secret-weapon-247362.phtml).

Admittedly, I love my Vita. Less so now that I found out it deletes your saves if you take a game off the memory card (And I thought I would go back and do all the optional puzzles in Virtue's Last Reward. Looks like that's a big nope). Is there any way to put other people's saves on your Vita? Is anybody eventually going to hack Earthbound onto this thing?

I won one of the Monster Hunter competitions at New York Comic Con, so I'm supposed to be getting a free copy of that soon. I'll let ya'll know how it is.

Hey people! My name is Vito, though my friends call me exclusively by my ridiculous Italian last name: Gesualdi (pronounced JIZZ-wall-dee). Being that I've just joined the Dtoid crew in an official manner, I figure it's a good time for a bit of an introduction.

I've done a bit of work for Destructoid in the past as a freelance cameraman, though the bulk of my gaming journalism experience stems from my time as a senior editor for GameZone, where I earned a reputation amongst gaming PR as "that weird fat guy with a video camera." (Seth Killian knows me better as "that fat drunk that asked me to put Howard the Duck in Marvel vs. Capcom 3" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OdZO4mp6g8w).

I'm not gonna lie, I had to trade Alistair my spare Earthbound to get this job.

I understand that anybody taking a job with Destructoid is going to be asked to back up their gamer cred, and I honestly wish I had a decent picture of my massive retro gaming collection to speak for me. My taste in games definitely leans towards the Japanese side of the aisle (Tales of Graces f was a recent favorite), though I'm learning to better embrace Western titles, and honestly wish I had the time to enjoy some Call of Duty multiplayer like I used to.

In addition to game journalism, I'm also an aspiring writer/comedian out in Los Angeles. I perform standup comedy around LA (come out to a show sometime!), enjoy shooting crappy skits with my friends (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUuTwHbxP24), and later this month I'm filming a television spec pilot about a struggling indie gaming company for Comedy Central (crossing my fingers that they like it). I'm also finishing up my first novel, which you can check out at http://StarRebellion.com.

Oh, I also run http://DraftMagic.com. a supremely nerdy website for fans of Magic: the Gathering. If you ever wanted to see grown men arguing about cardboard dragons, this is the place.

Anyhow, I'm very much looking forward to contributing my unique brand of humor and unique views on gaming to this fine site. I actually think the Dtoid community is one of the few gaming communities that doesn't suck, and I'm hoping I can bring you guys some content that makes you laugh, and maybe makes you think as well.

I also promise to be the guy on Destructoid who never stops bringing up how the cancellation of Mega Man Legends 3 was a travesty. I mean, c'mon Capcom, get your act together.

(Oh and follow me on Twitter. If I get enough followers maybe my dad will stop calling me a failure:
