About Me
Firstly, the thing you must know about me is that I am Irish. Not that I am celebrating it, anyone who has been to Dublin will know that it is a dark, dirty place attracting only horrible Hen Parties and filthy murderous knackers. I get by, that is, I try to.

Having examined much gaming culture I am fully aware that I am not "Old School". I am the ripe old age of 20. For the first half of my life my Parents viewed Gaming as an abhorrent pastime breeding only murderous sociopaths who played Mortal Kombat one handed to masturbate. I then managed to get a PS1 and Tomb Raider 2 and life was never the same...

I finally managed to break through my cack-handedness and homebrew my PSP (and ruin a perfectly good battery) so.. if any of you need to know stuff you can ask, I suppose.

Currently playing:

Dragon Quest V: HOTHB
Resistance Retribution

PSN: viscg

Add me motherfuckers. I will be going around randomly adding you all soon, so if some strange Irish guy adds you, chances are it's me.

Or Bono.

The month of May is, for me, a month of feverish gaming. I would suspect that it is also a month of feverish gaming for each and every student out there for one reason, and one reason only: there are things that we should be doing otherwise.

Yes indeed, I'm talking studying for exams, finishing projects and handing in assignments. It would seem that, in order to escape the horrors of college reality, I throw myself wholeheartedly into binge gaming; replaying old games that you got so close to finishing seems to be a favourite topic.

This year has been no exception, as this has been hand-in-your-fucking-assignments month. Oh yes, I have completed my assignments, but all have been done in the wee hours the morning before they are due. What really matters is that I finally started (and completed) Metroid Fusion, bought a new copy of MGS2 and completed it on Hard with the vast majority of dog-tags, started Pokémon Sapphire and Pearl and am now challenging the Elite Four in both. Fucking Pokémon. Fuck you.

Anyway, I seriously doubt this is something that affects only me. Does anyone else binge-game in an effort to avoid/forget assignments and exams?

**also, Metroid Fusion is so fucking good. Why did no one tell me?

You are one sad, sad little man.

Also, I thought everyone has played Metroid Fusion? I've probably beaten that game about 10 or 11 times. But that's probably because it was my first Metroiddd

Nah, I had played Fusion, but never for very long. It got forgotten somehow...

I can totally relate to that. Studying for my final exam last week I was like: "Hey, I totally made som progress. That calls for some GTAIV".

Guilty.

I have 6 chapters of old Italian plays to read/translate tonight, but I'm pretty sure as soon as I get home the first thing I'll do is turn on my SNES.

I'm also guilty of this, you're spot on and I'm glad I'm not the only one. I have university exams this and next week, and I'm supposed to be revising upon British Environmentalism Since 1750 and 'The American Century' since 1945 (thrilling ey?).

Needless to say, I've done absolutely nothing because my new laptop and my xbox360 have been staring me in the face all day everyday...and who am I to say no?

Dragon Quest VIII and Mario Kart are the main reasons I am going to fail math.

My 20-pg comparative analysis paper was put off for Viva Pinata until I have to pull an all nighter--8pm to 8am write fest! It would have gotten done faster but I kept getting distracted by c-blog reading in between pages.
