Patapon Invades Europe, Ireland Surrenders.

Fuck Ireland. Or perhaps, fuck Europe.

Patapon's release hype contained the nourishing information that the game would cost a mere $20 in the US on it's release. This is roughly 14 Euro which is the cost of about 3 pints.

3 Pints of sweet Guinness.

But whoa now, wait a second! One glance at the play.com website tells me that the game won't cost me a quiet evening alone drinking but will, indeed, cost me 40 fucking Euro.

Apparently, according to xe.com, this is just about $60. It would appear that if Europe is not getting fucked on a release date, they are getting fucked on price.

Would you pay 40 Euro (or indeed, 60 dollars) for Patapon? Should I?

And come on, us Europeans know a thing or two about invasions. Not the Irish of course. We're all just passive, neutral drunks who got our dickholes filled by Cromwell. Maybe this Patapon game will bring back wonderful memories... That is, if I can afford it.

dude i feel your pain. I walked into Gamestop in Cork and looked at the price and my jaw dropped.

Developers must seriously think were retarded...

Thats why i hacked my PSP, i am not proud of it, but its not too difficult to see why after things like this.

Yeah..I saw the game over here at full price of a normal PSP game over here.

I mean, if Dracula X Chronicles cost 30 Euros, why can't this game have a normal price just like in America? That's just BS.

I really should hack my PSP. I need to find someone to gimme one of them thar Pandora's Batteries so I can do some of that unlocking. I'm just so lazy...

about me

Firstly, the thing you must know about me is that I am Irish. Not that I am celebrating it, anyone who has been to Dublin will know that it is a dark, dirty place attracting only horrible Hen Parties and filthy murderous knackers. I get by, that is, I try to.

Having examined much gaming culture I am fully aware that I am not "Old School". I am the ripe old age of 20. For the first half of my life my Parents viewed Gaming as an abhorrent pastime breeding only murderous sociopaths who played Mortal Kombat one handed to masturbate. I then managed to get a PS1 and Tomb Raider 2 and life was never the same...

I finally managed to break through my cack-handedness and homebrew my PSP (and ruin a perfectly good battery) so.. if any of you need to know stuff you can ask, I suppose.
