I am usually pretty happy with my projects I make in school, especially if they are gaming related. I have a habit of making every project I am given warp in to something to do with gaming, comics or cosplay. It might have been a good idea for me to draw the line at sculpture. For class our first assignment was to make a sculpture out of sheet metal and rods that combined two animals. After inquiring wether they had to be real animals or not, I got permission to combine a Chocobo and a Mog. Basically, it is going to be a chocobo body with the mog wings and little head antenna thingy. It looks great on paper, but having never worked with sheet metal or welding before (I burned my face with a hot rod(hehehehe...that sounded funny)in class the other day), its been pretty interesting. Its a lot of fun, but I am not so sure it is going to turn out looking like a Chog...or whatever I am going to name it. I will post picture when it is done! Yellow spray paint and all!
Right now all I have is the body and the tail/wings. I have no idea what I am going to do for the head. Way to think ahead right?
Welding is cereal business...you can not see the burn yet because I had only done it a few min before...yeay for red face welt!
Too early to say what the finished product will like, but that's a great start.
Thanks for the idea Normel!
What a feeling, bein's believin', I can't have it all.

I always like to see people actually care about the presentation of things.
shows you and your husband actually have a life, in a round-a-bout way, which is really a good thing for gamers.

And do you happen to have an unmarried twin sister? I need her in your Wonder Woman cosplay outfit!
Yum!
Chocobo - moggle

I vote for chomog =)
Best of luck with the project!
Must do more and more awesomely.
Lemon makes my cheeks hurt with fun and laughter!
Also, I think that pic is your sexiest yet. Girls in overalls, using welding tools is somehow just awesome.
To stay on topic, that is a really neat project. How awesome was the instructor when you said, "can I take two fictional video game animals and splice them together?"
Is there any way we could see the original design on paper?
