Shortblog: LBP Servers Are Up (UPDATE)
Video Cognito | 11:17 AM on 10.27.2008 13 comments

As the title says, the servers for Little Big Planet are up. However, as far as I can tell, the pre-order codes aren't working just yet. So for those of you who picked the game up early, get on playing, creating, and sharing.

UPDATE: The pre-order codes are gonna be good to go tonight.

From the PlayStation.Blog:

Great news! Media Molecule has unveiled that the LittleBigPlanet servers are up and running and ready for the world to start posting new creations and levels. Click over to www.mediamolecule.com to see the original post. In addition to this big news - due to popular demand, all the Online Beta levels will be transferred over to the network for everyone to enjoy. Finally, to those who’ve pre-ordered LBP in North America and are waiting to download Nariko or Kratos & company, this should all be ready by later tonight...

LBP makes me want to buy a ps3 so bad but I know it'll basically be wasted money in the end. Argh, damn you temptation.

The story mode is full of beautiful imaginative levels. Me and my woman are having a fucking great time playing it.

THAT'S why my Kratos sackboy code wasn't working! Good thing I kept it just in case. Thanks, man. Also, yes this game is great.

My wife and I are enjoying it right now.

This game is so amazing. I took the day off to play it. Started at 9am next thing I know it's 2pm. WTF? The way the online works is genius. You get a party formed for adventuring. Sometimes people drop out, but for the most part we traveled from place to place as a group and I adventured with the same people for large amounts of time.

HOLY SHIT there are some amazing levels too - especially this halloween themed one - I'll comment again here in a second and let you know what it was called. I'm just so surprised it all works so well. I guess I had my doubts but what a final product!

Was it Hollow Bastion? A lot of the levels were in the beta. Some beta favorites were Hollow Bastion, God of War, World of Color, and Little Big Ninja Warrior (or something like that). OH AND THE HEIST!

ARGH, I wish I knew that the codes weren't working yet. When I went to pull off the sticker to reveal the code...it ripped...

I'm going to see if I can't get another one from Gamestop later when I have time, but damnit...

YES!!! I have it up in front of me now. My other fave is Burger by Yippy_TH. That level is Good but LONG and damn hard. Great challenge though.

Did you hear anything about the first week costume? I believe it's the spacesuit.

@Video

Yeah. They replaced it fine, so now I gotz my Kratos and Co.

And yes, the new one had a sticker too...a smaller one, but a sticker none the less...
