My Rock Band Plans

i'm planning on getting the ps2 special edition and working that until i get a ps3. then i would
trade it all in for the ps3 versions when i get one. even though i know that all of the rock band
controllers are supposed to work on both platforms, but i would want the ps3 versions with the
ps button on them.

here's hoping that i could use the gh2 controllers on the ps2....but i think the game only works
with usb controllers...which i assume that the strat controller is. red octane is selling a stand
alone wireless gh3 controller for ps2....but i'm not sure if it goes though the usb or not.

what do you guys think?
