After some suggestions from the community in my last blog, I picked up the following at work:

Valkyria Chronicles (New $16.99)
MLB 09: The Show (Used $22.94)
$20 PSN Pre-paid Card ($20 lol)

I used the pre-paid card so far for Final Fantasy VII as I have NEVER played it! I checked out a copy of Demon Souls also and it is a BLAST to play! I have plans to pick up Metal Gear Solid 4 next week as well as a few others (Katamari Forever, Uncharted, Uncharted 2, etc).

PS3!

I finally decided to purchase my new 120gig PS3 today after much debating. My Xbox 360 is on the way to die again (number 8 mind you) so I decided I have had enough. I asked the girlfriend if I could get one and she said sure after much talking. I went into Gamestop and picked up a brand new one. I also got MLB 09: The Show since I didn't have much money to blow this paycheck.

I just got home a few minutes ago and unboxed it. MY WORD! It is SO BEAUTIFUL! I moved my Xbox 360 down a level to on top of my stereo and put the new beauty next to the TV. I plugged everything up and just looked at it for a minute. I hit the power button and heard that wonderful boot up sound and a big smile came on my face.

So I come to you, PS3 users, what should I get now?
What are the best retail games? PSN downloads?
What are some good accessories that you all recommend?

My PSN name is VendettaXXI Please add me as I have no friends on PS3 yet and I would really enjoy getting to know some of the hardcore PS3 people on this site. No microphone yet but next Thursday, I will have one.

Hey Destructoid crew! My name is Derek from Ohio. I have been lurking on here for close to 2 years and finally decided to join! First, some gaming background:

My favorite series have to be the Harvest Moon series, Call of Duty series, Street Fighter, and most Mario games. My favorite overall games has to be Harvest Moon 64 (offline) and COD (online).

I only have an Xbox 360 right now (GT: VendettaXXI) and a DSi. My favorite genres are shooters, role-playing, action/adventure, and racing. Current games being played are Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, MW2, Assassin's Creed II, Left 4 Dead 2 and Forza 3.
