About Me
Iam a gammer from the harsh uruguayan jungle (we dont even have a jungle down here, too cold, go and do some wikipedia of Uruguay). I used to do a podcast in spanish about videogames at Radio LevelUp but I dont do it anymore... anyway those guys are there still making it so you can give it a try if you understand spanish
And i can say "aca aca aca" and i know how to pronoaunce it well since im a spanish speaker, so Im a superior race.
A couple of idiots may find funny that I dont have good english grammar, but again, they are probably idiots since they only speak/write one language...

Most of my time in the internet is because of games. I love videogames so much that i sleep with my girlfriend and my ds, at the same time... i call that a "threesome" and my humor doesnt get anything better than that.
Mostly im a PC gamer, i was going to buy a 360 but faulty crappy hardware told me not to since if it goes RRoD here I would have lost my money, and as a man Im entitled to the sweat of my brow. I want to fuck the Wii and I believe the PS3 is going to be the first console in space.

In the "real" life (come on, internet now is part of our lives anyway...), I study medicine (takes a lot of time and I cant spend enough of my time playing videogames). Is not what you would call a marriage made in heaven, if I wanted to game more I should have sutdy something related to pcs, but I grown surrounded by computers and stuff so I chose the bio stuff instead. Anyway, little time to play video games if you dont want my biographical shit.

And the main reasson I play games for the story behind them. I love well written stories like Half Life series, of course Portal (kind of a Valve fan). Other great games include World Of Warcraft (not currently playing, actually I was never hardcore, but I enjoyed the experience a lot), and of course the classics like System Shock 2. Other great titles had stuck with me over the years, classics adventure games like Monkey Island, Indiana Jones and Grim Fandango.

So, best game experiences:
Half Life 2 (and the original Half Life of course).
System Shock 2
Grim Fandango
Indiana Jones and the Fate Of Atlantis
Monkey Island

The mass effect is a mass erection

When I started playing Mass Effect for the PC I wasnt so sure of how it would be. Really, there are games that you just know are good, others that you dont know or care and just give them a try. With ME since Sterling´s "mass of shit" i wasnt so sure what to expect, on the othter hand a friend with a 360 told me it was one of the best RPG games he had ever played.

So i was left in the middle of nowhere, anyway... now Im playing it and it feels sort like home. Of course the game has its points where you just say "screw with this, too much to read", that happens with all the information in the log book, too much information, but on the other hand its necesary, it helps any nerd to become connected with the "universe" of the game. And I have to admit they did a pretty good job with the universe, the set up, the species, the background history of each species, worlds and characters.
Any science fiction fan fall in love with everything.

The controls for the PC handle pretty good, but I cant say anything about its console part because I havent played. As I allready said this is the main cause of why I havent played nothing online (FNF or TNF, TF2 or COD4), the MP experience of a game is fun for me, but I just stick with a good old single player.
The tedious part maybe is all the driving part of the game. The terrain, made on purpose, is terrible and they could have made something less frustrating since some places are crap to drive. Maybe thats the idea, but still, trying to get to a destination somethimes... well, crap.
Combat, I like it, feels like an action+RPG, you know you are playing an RPG game, but still lots of action and the combination works great. You can stop the fight, activate a couple of special actions of your squad and change tactics with different squad members without having to think on nanoseconds. I like to blow stuff and then get to talk to the characters, slow down for a bit and get the bigger picture after each mission.

So yeah, the game for me is like sex but I havent had sex yet, yes, Iam a virgin in the game, I want to, maybe with the alien... lets see what happens, she is very open minded and all, very experimental... Wish me luck with the alien slut.

Good luck, babe.

ME looks pretty neat, but at something silly like 7GB, I need to know it won't just sit there eating my HDD...
Bah, I want to run it from CD first, damnit ;_;

It's a great game, it has flaws, and its a bit short, but its a great game. If I had a PC powerful enough to run it well I'd like to play it through again on PC.

I loved the 360 version of the game. Likely my favorite RPG of all time.

Also, I think everyone bangs the alien. She gets around.

I just started playing this again last night. I died at a driving mission, didn't save enough times... got annoyed and quit.

Still, it's my favorite RPG in years and I love it :)

Every time someone disagrees with Jim Sterling's Mass Effect review, an angel gets it's wings. It's a great game, and has an amazing last 2 hours.
