So I got back from University today and I had an hour and a half (more close to two hours), playing the "no mercy" chapter in Left4Dead. Is midday around here now, and I have to go back to business now, but I will be back tonight for more zombie fest.
And I hope other dtoiders will be back as well playing with me Left4Dead tonight.
So the single player experience is what it is, is not boring, is great, but the coop is designed for people to play with other people and I feel thats the way this game should be played, the single player today remind me of that thing... this game is a multiplayer game, is like if you were to play Team Fortress 2 against and with the CPU, how fun can that be? Maybe a good AI like the director is going to make it a good experience, but is a handjob compared to an orgy of sex.
So, Yashoki seted up a server for the dtoid group on STEAM, yesterday was mostly empty, me and ME got into it a bit for the demo, but thats it.
Sorry dude. I could have been there, but I had arrangements with my roommate(who also pre-loaded the game) and I played with him. We got about half way through the No Mercy chapter before we had to crash. Didn't get to try the versus, but I will...eventually(ish hasing fun 'teh campaign).
I spent 2 hours with some folks from dtoid and other random places on Dead Air.
Ok, holy shit, the higher difficulties actually mean something when you play a full campaign. We got to maybe the 3rd or 4th section of the campaign before I had to call it quits.
I do have to say it was the most fun I've had gaming in a long time, no matter how many times a smoker made me want to kill myself.
Thats the beauty of this game, the instant you are doing good, and the instant you even feel good, you will fail...and you will love it.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. about me
Iam a gammer from the harsh uruguayan jungle (we dont even have a jungle down here, too cold, go and do some wikipedia of Uruguay). I used to do a podcast in spanish about videogames at Radio LevelUp but I dont do it anymore... anyway those guys are there still making it so you can give it a try if you understand spanish
And i can say "aca aca aca" and i know how to pronoaunce it well since im a spanish speaker, so Im a superior race.
A couple of idiots may find funny that I dont have good english grammar, but again, they are probably idiots since they only speak/write one language...
Most of my time in the internet is because of games. I love videogames so much that i sleep with my girlfriend and my ds, at the same time... i call that a "threesome" and my humor doesnt get anything better than that.
Mostly im a PC gamer, i was going to buy a 360 but faulty crappy hardware told me not to since if it goes RRoD here I would have lost my money, and as a man Im entitled to the sweat of my brow. I want to fuck the Wii and I believe the PS3 is going to be the first console in space.
In the "real" life (come on, internet now is part of our lives anyway...), I study medicine (takes a lot of time and I cant spend enough of my time playing videogames). Is not what you would call a marriage made in heaven, if I wanted to game more I should have sutdy something related to pcs, but I grown surrounded by computers and stuff so I chose the bio stuff instead. Anyway, little time to play video games if you dont want my biographical shit.
And the main reasson I play games for the story behind them. I love well written stories like Half Life series, of course Portal (kind of a Valve fan). Other great games include World Of Warcraft (not currently playing, actually I was never hardcore, but I enjoyed the experience a lot), and of course the classics like System Shock 2. Other great titles had stuck with me over the years, classics adventure games like Monkey Island, Indiana Jones and Grim Fandango.
So, best game experiences:
Half Life 2 (and the original Half Life of course).
System Shock 2
Grim Fandango
Indiana Jones and the Fate Of Atlantis
Monkey Island

"it", goes well with the word "is". Also now as "It's"
Tonight, we dine in ZOMBIE
Yes, but in theory, if you do indeed literally dine on zombies, wouldn't you therefore become a zombie?
@neonie: kind in a rush when writing, also Iam not from an english speaking country.
Tonight, we dine in ZOMBIE
Also, lol @ Neonie being a grammar nazi
