A few years back, I had a small collection of old Nintendo Power magazines. One day I ended up getting rid of them. I mean, who in thier right mind collects magazines anyway. Before I did that I went through each one of them and recovered the glory that is the Nintendo Power Posters included in each issue. Until recently they were stashed in my closet waiting te be let loose on my bedroom walls. Unfortunately, I recently moved into my brother's old bedroom and happened to forget what I did with this treasurebox of memories.
I always wondered if my parents or I removed them from this household. I checked my attic the other day, where almost everything seems to end up. I found some really cool stuff up there, including some old game boxes with everything in them (except the games) and of course the lost stash. The box I've been thinking about the past few years has finally been recovered.
I choose to share only the best of the collection but I may share more if people are willing to care. These pieces of glorified art may have to recieve the royal treatment of being framed (the top 4 at the very least).
Because all of you demanded it!!!
Heres some awesome old game boxes I found also.
Bonus-toid: I made this in a class I had recently.
Apparently some people have found out about a feature that was not announced with the new dashboard update.
The new feature happens to be smaller installs of games on the HD. While some of the games are only a few hundred megabytes less, others like KOF XII are drastically smaller going from a 3.7 gb down to a mere 705 mb.
This sounds fairly awesome, but wait there is more.
A rumor about being able to install games with multiple discs and then only needing the first disc to play the game is also in the cards. Supposedly this feature needs to be approved by the publisher/developer before working with thier game.
Lets hope this is all true and enjoy your new space on that HD!
I am a lurker on destructoid. I admit it. I comment once in a while and thats about my fair share of giving back to the community. I like to play and beat a decent RPG once in a while. Enough about me though, lets procede to the problem at hand.
Last christmas I recieved Last Remnant for Xbox 360. I found myself playing it once in a while and then lost interest around feburary. Now summer rolls around and I have nothing better to do than to enjoy beating some good ol' video games. I started a small marathon over the past week or so playing the game Last Remnant and it grabbed my interest once again. Here's where it gets good. A few minutes ago I get to the second disc swap screen.
The game prompts me, and I do what it says. It then notifies me that I must insert disc 2, even though thats what I put in.....right? I then continue to open the DVD tray in confusion and read the DVD and it says, "DVD 1". I look in the case to see what disc I put back, and it read, "DVD 1".
And that's that. I guess buying the game on release at amazon for 40 bucks wasn't that great of a deal!
I have no idea what to do. Any suggestions?
GT TV has just announced that the Star Wars: Force Unleashed demo will be up for download Aug 21 on Xbox live and PSN. Not too surprising, though I was hoping that we were going to be able to play it after the GTTV episode was over.
I guess everyone will be looking forward to next thursday!
