Zdravstvuj. My name is Valentin Seleznyov, and i'm a 23 year old self employed kitchen and bathroom designer from London, England. When i'm not making housewives dreams come true, i play guitar and perform vocals in an alternative electronic band, and am currently writing a space ballet.
I drive a Mercedes cabriolet named Bella, and am engaged. Though, for reasons that should be obvious to anyone who has visited this page, i like to keep my doting fiancee out of my online affairs.
My favourite video games of all time are Psycho Fox, Fantastic Dizzy, Road Avenger, Tomcat Alley, Shen-Mue, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Quantum of Solace and Call of Duty: World at War.
I am also very passionate about Treyarch getting the recognition they deserve.
While i was born in England and currently live here, i was mostly raised in Moscow (i have Russian parents). English is not my first language, so try not to be too harsh on me if i make a spelling mistake or grammatical error. Though by all means point it out, as it will help me to improve.
Isn't that somewhat contradicting?
Yea, that makes perfect sense. What?!
"I am also very passionate about Treyarch getting the recognition they deserve."
lolwut?!?
Welcome anyway. Try not to suck.
Just saying..
Anyway, welcome to the 'toid you fruity son of a birch.
I can't help reading your posts with my own nose tilted up slightly and a look of disdain on my face - what I imagine your own expression to be. You're aloof, and thusly you're being met with the reaction of people who feel as though they're being spoken down to.
I hate to say it, but your original idea doesn't seem particularly brilliant in the way you've presented it. Of course dressing up as your character might make you a better player - you've invested more into the situation and thusly you'll get more out. If I just sit down with the mentality that I'm going to dick around on my xbox for thirty minutes, then I'll do just that. But if I set up the room and do some meditation on Halo before I load ODST, I might just get a couple extra kills...it's focus, and the emotional investment in the game. This isn't news. This is logic. I'd be more than willing to entertain a breakthrough discovery on your part if I were to read one. I haven't yet. Take this as neutral feedback.
In something that might be interpreted as defense, I must say that if you're willing to give your love to this community, it will give it back tenfold. While you've been met with hostility, I've gotta say that it doesn't mean you're not welcome in general. Have some humility - you might know who you are, be that genius pianist or victimized forum poster - but know that who you are is going to dictate what your responses will be. Take responsibility for your internet persona. I'm sure you do in the offline world, so do it here too. But a little humble pie goes a long way when you're making first impressions.
Dtoid CAN be hostile. I've been met with some serious flames, but only because I was a total douchebag at the beginning, and then because I chose to be a camwhore. But I knew what I was asking for, and didn't mind when it came to me. Ride the wave. Just don't assume that you should be loved because you love yourself as much as you do.
Anyway. Good times. And we'll see where this goes. Keep posting - especially here - I'll be curious to see what your mind has to say in future blogs, and what the response will be.
Aloha,

So you were banned three years ago and came back? Wow.
Enh, whatever.
I mean, really everyone. This is funny, it's entertaining, but that's all it is. He's not serious. He's a troll.
Getting worked up over what he says is just going to make him do stupid shit more often.
His cosplay thread was brilliant, and the best troll thread I've ever seen, but it's getting to be annoying now. He has no reason to stop because everyone keeps giving him ammo.
I know I am too, in a way, just by posting this; but I felt this needed to be said.
I'll be ignoring Sleazynose from now on.
He's a great comment troll, but his pieces really need work.
I mean, honestly, your actual posts don't even try to evoke anger, they're just so random people feel the need to trash it, and then you troll them. It's a whole new level of trolling, really.
As for being a foreigner, no way buddy. We're all from all over the world. That's the internet. Not a valid excuse. Definitely a good victim card to play for a troll though.
There are options available other than talking yourself up or putting others down. I'll let you figure out what they are.
Ignore the comments here and blog something of substance - your CoD blog. Do that. Let's see those blogging skillz you've got hiding. Because at the moment I gotta agree with Magnalon...it's like the perfect trap.
<3
Yeah, just don't dress up as Joker. By your theory, that would be counter productive. Halloween is a good time to check it out, though, because the Scarecrow bits eclipse a lot of the other stuff that happens in the game if only for how messed up it gets.
Which zombie game? I've been playing a little of I MAED A GAM3 W1TH ZOMBIES 1N IT!!!1, which is a great indie. Especially for the price of a buck :P
World at War is bad ass. I love calling in the dogs.
I love how I MAED A GAM3 goes from zero to wtf why are there snakes here pretty quickly. I wish they'd release it for the PSP or DS so I could play it on the train or in line.
Oh yeah, I heard Zombie Apocalypse isn't terrible. It's from a third person perspective, right? That's interesting...
Agreed. The day I unlocked the flamethrower was like the best day of my life.
For that, go to IRC.
