An Ode To Wiisucks:

Hi! My name is Jack Klassen.! I'm a completely ordinary teenage boy from San Diego, California. My interests include soccer, surfing, writing poetry, and luge. I am homeschooled by my father who fought in the Korean War and was exposed to nerve gas. He is kind of crazy but I still love him. We got the Internet two years ago and I started making new friends on Yahoo! messenger. Surprisingly, most of these new friends were older men who wanted to have illegal, underage sex with me. Needless to say, I got a boner like a rocketship and cybersex quickly became my favorite thing in the entire world. Wait, did I say boner like a rocketship? I meant my vagina got as wet as Lake Titicaca. I started saving all of the hot chat sessions I was having with the Pakistanis, lesbians, child molesters and other monsters who were instant messaging me all day and all night, and I decided to put them up here on this website so you can see exactly how disgusting the entire human race is. Since then, I have been in a waterskiing accident that mangled my genitals beyond repair, been diagnosed with cerebral palsy, brain cancer, and Crohn's disease, learned to speak Urdu and French, covered my naked body in superglue, went to French lesbian camp, made a Hindu eat a roast beef sandwich out of my vagina, and ruined perfectly good cybersex for at least one hundred people. Use the menu above to find out more about me and start reading my sexy adventures,

Army of Two May Actually Be Good - New Trailer
VWGTI | 7:31 AM on 02.06.2008 16 comments

Army of Two is about a month away from release and many others, including myself, are somewhat interested in the game because of the co-op aspect. With the current generation of consoles we have seen an increased focus on co-op gaming. This is in large part due to online being a huge part of a consoles functionality. With Rainbow Six Vegas and Gears of War being the best examples of a great co-op experience off the top of my head, if Army of Two can match the quality and fun of both titles it should be a worthwhile addition to any gamers library.

The big question is whether or not the game will indeed be quality or if it will forever be labled as poo-poo status. In early December the folks over at Kotaku reported that Xbox World magazine wasn't too impressed with the game, stating:

As it stands, Army of Two is a juvenile swear-fest with clumsy controls, a story apparently penned by a seven year old who hates them ay-rabs, laughable level design that tosses you into a cut-scene every thirty seconds, sub Perfect Dark Zero graphics and the two least likable characters in gaming history. We'd rather play as a Bubsy the Bobcat/Raiden from Metal Gear Solid tag-team than these two douchebags. The delay is a stay of execution. It has four months to get even vaguely good. Hope for a miracle.

While I certainly wasn't hoping for a miracle, it seems as though the team over at EA Montreal were hard at work to prevent the game from being sub-par. I happened to check out a new trailer yesterday, and the game looks solid. It's certainly not going to win any Game of the Year awards, but I'll be damned if it isn't a blast to play. Check out the newest trailer below.

What do you guys think? It's an EA game, so I'm certain that many of you will write it off immediately for that reason alone. Others, I'm sure, will dismiss it simply because it looks like another typical third-person shooter. If you're as big a co-op fan as I am then you will be able to look past the down sides to enjoy what looks like a simple, yet fun co-op shooter.

I was interested in this game when it was first talked about just because of the co-op nature , just like you. But with the delays hitting it and not much new being shown I lost interest. Now I just hope it's good..I fear my pesimistic nature is leaning towards it probably wont.

I'm hoping for it, but then again, I want them to release a demo first so we can see how it plays.

It looks like you have to unload like 5 clips into a person to kill them.

I heard early reviews labled Army of Two as "Army of Shit". Maybe they went back to the drawing board and reworked some of the bad stuff.

@ pigmartyr

They did rework & "Polish" it up... IT was set for a November release. Then they pushed it to January. Then again pushed back to it's current March.

I know it's EA here but it's a IP title. Sooo if they want to make games like this & later Dead Space.... There going to have to satisfy some more gamers than sports enthusiasts.

Besides EA's starting to show promise... ( Fight Night Round 3. & Burnout Paradise. & The Orange Box. & RockBand. )

Have Faith.

Initially I was very interested in this game. Then I heard the delays were because it was coming together horribly. Hopefully it gets on track because I do like the concept.

A demo would be bad ass. I heard awesome concepts, then I heard it went to shit. Then I heard they had to re-write the script. Either way, demo please.

Wow they've really polished that game up. Wasn't it supposed to be released in November but they delayed it due to the negative reaction to the old trailers?

Penthouse gave it four out of five stars two months ago. I cereally could care less about this game though...

Yea, it was getting slammed, so I think they went back to the drawing board. I believe that EA want's this IP to be well received among critics and gamers alike. Looks like they've done a good job doing so.

The animations are sick and the game looks very nice. Gameplay wise, I know they've implemented an "aggro" system that would be familiar to anyone who has played an MMO before. Army of Two has serious potential.

Did the... whatever he was firing at the very end of the trailer look like absolute ass or was it just this early, decaffeinated viewing putting the pessimism spin on whatever I see?

Hopefully its doing the same to my ears, because the sounds struck me as somewhere between terrible and fucking terrible.

Please don't hose this one EA, I want one of the buddy shooter games to be good and Kane & Lynch couldn't pull it off.

I've been interested in this for a while but just hope it's worth my time. I'm definitely not buying it, it's a pure rental for me and my roommate, but I just hope it's as fun as it looks. I love me some co-op goodness. Also, anyone else wanna see some more of the gun customization they talked about early on? What's up with that?
