My impression of Linger in Shadow...
Uther | 9:20 AM on 10.09.2008 1 comments

...also called "Oh sweet almighty christ what is this?"

There's only one good thing about living in Europe. Our PSN stores get updated some hours before, but that doesn't make up for the long time we have to wait for the watered down material the American Stores got two weeks ago.
But then theres Linger in Shadow, kindly enough released in Europe first.
Filled to the brim with glee of something coming here first, I acted on impulse and bought the thing for less money than I spend on candy every other Friday.

What followed were comments such as "Uhhh...", "Uhhmmm..." and "Ehehehehe...what?"
You remember the video of Linger in Shadow everyone has seen? That's the ..."thing", the whole thing. Only difference is the controller in your hands does something, like rotating smoke, mess around with floating boxes along with most basic controls recognised from the PS3's movie-viewing function.

Ten minutes later I sit there, watching the credits roll and getting four-five trophies thrown in my lap, confused out of my damn mind.
I had read about LiS before and knew it wasn't a game, but I also didn't know it would be absolutely pointless.Unable to accept this, I choose to believe it was meant to keep me from wasting my money delicious candy tomorrow.

Thank you, Linger in Shadow.

about me

Not much I can say. PS3-fanbo...owner.
Would get a 360...but most of the games in my interest are on the Spider-Man font'd Black Monolith as well...and MGS4 does tip the scale a bit, or flip it right over.

Big fan of anything Hideo Kojima, Tim Schafer and Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw.
