Ok, well, maybe not the best, but it's up there. Kazuo Sawa's work on this game is amazing, but it doesn't seem to get as much recognition as some of the other game soundtracks of its time.
This is a pretty good round-up of some of the better tunes in the game, and no, for those of you that never played it, that's not a youtube or emulator problem, that's what the game really looks like (lol NES sprite limit).
I just wish he had included the final, slowed-down, victory version of the main theme you get when you finish it on single-player.
On a side note, it really is the best multi-player game on the NES though. Seriously, check it out if you haven't. It's amazing!

Or until the new DS version.
But more so the Virtual Console release.
